Recommended by a friend, I was determined to see it through. Not my usual choice seeing as though I do not do sea food. However, my kids love sea food. Seeing that they had a burger for 16 bucks i decided to stay. The place is in a nice location even though parking is limited. Very close to the water and other downtown amenities. There were several restraunts all next to each other and we almost went to one next door that had all you can eat tacos, but it was closed. I ordered two burgers and both looked AMAZING.... but were lacking in taste. The bun was too large and was crispy. The meat was dry and flavorless, and despite covering in ketchup and mayonnaise, I had trouble swallowing it. My kids said the shrimp was good, nothing to rave about, just good. I was beginning to think this place was over rated. The sweat tea was ok, still it was missing that real brewed astringent bite, but tasted ok nonetheless. The waitress was great and despite being pretty busy, attended all of our needs. I probably would not return. I think I will opt for the all you can eat tacos next door. Enjoy!

This oysters bar is by far one if the best if not second best tourism food restaurants. The food is great and so are the waiters. Today I had a server here named Emily, she was super nice and mentioned her personal favorites in which I took into consideration. The bread they give you at the beginning is super good as long it has the natural tasting butter!

Highly recommend Water Street Oyster Bar in Corpus Christi, TX! The oysters and sushi are always amazing! Our wait staff was fast and friendly. We even brought our dog as we were heading home from Port Aransas and they allowed him inside! They brought him a clean bowl of fresh water right to our table for him! They had excellent service for us and our sweet pup! We have always made Water Street a must visit while we are in the Corpus Christi area! 🌊🐚✨

Best restaurant and food we had during our 4 day trip to Port Aransas and Corpus Christie area in June of 2026. This restaurant offer Happy Hour everyday from 3pm - 6pm which includes 1/2 priced oysters, sushi, and beer and wine. We ordered a dozen oysters and split the fresh catch mahi mahi dinner plate. We had the order split do we paid a small fee to split the sides of baked potatoe, salad, and Mac n cheese. We had more than enough food and left Happy and full. I highly recommend getting to the restaraunt before 5pm on the weekends as the Happy Hour was talked about and popular with visitors and locals.

I don’t typically go to restaurants where the vibe are great but the food is mediocre. I was very unimpressed. Maybe this is just how CorpChris food is….i really don’t know but the dinner wasn’t worth the $200. Also, asked for gumbo to bring home to my sick mom. They forgot it. If I ever end up here again it’ll be because someone else is paying and I’m only getting a marg and oysters Rockefeller.

Atmosphere was loud, place is always very cold. I had salmon Rockefeller, but it was medium rare, which I don't particularly like. Waitress was sweet took it back, but came back stating they no longer had any, so I had option of choosing something else. Honestly I thought they were just going to cook it a little longer like other restaurants normally do. I chose chicken Rockefeller and it was good. We even got free dessert for the inconvenience. All their desserts are tasty. Also, they have happy hour on drinks, peel shrimp, and rolls, M-F 3-6 p.m. enjoy!!

Mixed experience, but worth mentioning. Our waiter Frankie was awesome — personable and attentive. Oysters and drinks were excellent. Unfortunately our food took a long time to come out, and when it did, everything was cold (BBQ salmon salad, mac and cheese, shrimp po boy). Disappointing, especially since my parents drove 3 hours for this meal. That said, Frankie stayed on top of it and the manager, Isaac, was sincerely apologetic and made things right. Service saved the day — hoping the kitchen tightens up on timing and temps.

Stopped here to grab some raw oysters! I usually stop in Kemah at the Rusty Hook for their .50 a piece oysters or $6 a dozen raw. They charge you $36 w dozen here. I could have 6 dozen fresh off the boat oysters for $6. I will not stop and get robbed again. Figured they would have a great price since they have Oyster in the name. But nope!

The atmosphere is this place is incredible. Irene made our night! The perfect level of attentive, that never bordered on too present, but was always here exactly when we needed her. It takes a world class server to know how toe that line. We were extremely impressed with the food and Irene’s service!
