Second time here. Leaving this review in the hopes it will improve experience. Rolled in at 8 pm for dinner and was told they were booked. Curiously asked if there was a wait and was told it would be 30 min. Turned out to be only 10. Wife got passed over at the bar repeatedly while ordering cocktail for the wait. Got seated and ordered dinner. Ceaser salad was good! Filet was terrible. Undercooked and tough. Molten cake was marginal at best. FYI our server was working her tail off, which was the best part of our experience, but the hostess seemed a little clueless ( unless she was told to turn people away). Probably best to go for the drinks and view. Reminds me of the old oasis in Austin where everybody went for the view and drinks and was forewarned the food was not the reason for going.

Ordered the rib eyes steaks medium rare. My girlfriend’s steak was done to perfection. Mine unfortunately was cooked medium. I had to watch her eat her delicious steak while eating mine. I brought it to my waiters attention and he compared our steaks and agreed mine in fact was over cooked. He said I should have mentioned it when it first came. I had only consumed less than a 1/4 of the steak by then. Great sunsets.

We've been here 2, 3 times. Always amazing food. The drinks have great flavor, but are not strong. Always will be a favorite!

We spent over 2 hours enjoying the lovely patio that overlooks LBJ lake. Loved that they had cooler fans that made the 90° heat feel quite enjoyable. Our server was Ameris and she did a fabulous job making sure we had everything we needed. Best Aperol Spritz I’ve ever had! Highly recommend checking this place out!

Great view not great food. We live here in town and both times we’ve been there in the past month came home having an upset stomach food is not that great for the prices. Had a sewer smell by our table with the big benches with fruit flies and flies inside they must’ve changed shafts or something when they first opened. It was the most amazing thing in the Marblefalls Area. now people show up in shorts, flip-flops and the atmosphere is dwindling do yourself a favor and go to River city Grill pay the same prices and enjoy better food or Chili’s for that matter

It was a fantastic experience. Ordered the filet mignon, it was cooked to perfection!!! I ordered the watermelon monthly drink - it was a wonderful frozen concoction. The service was fast and friendly. The patio allowed for an exceptional view, especially at sunset. Overall it was a memorable experience.

We decided to try Bayview as our new restaurant to give a go. We were in the area, so why not.

We were not disappointed! The hostesses were very kind and friendly. They have a cart driver as the parking lot is spread out and rocky/hilly with an incline. They driver was very kind, we declined a ride back to our car - but, very kind man.

Our server... I want to say Diana.....I am probably way off the mark. She is an older woman who served us on the patio. (We have had a LONG day and it was apparent.) She was the sweetest server I have had in a long time. It was a pretty busy night being a Saturday and she did well keeping us up to date on food time.
She treated us with respect and like family.

My husband ordered an old fashioned as they didn't have the ingredients for a Sazerac. The bartender knew what they were doing. That old fashioned was chefs kiss! 🎀 We ordered the Blue Crab sliders, Argentina? Steak Sandwich, and a side of Sautéed Brussel Sprouts.

Blue Crab Sliders - My husband said they're a bit fishy. My take was that it is a mix of different kinds into 1 to help with cost margins. Not fact, just speculation. Good, but he was slightly disenchanted by it.

The Steak Sandwich was superb! It was tender and full of flavor! No complaints!

The Sautéed Brussel Sprouts were good and made appropriately, so that is really all to say there. They're good Sautéed Brussel sprouts!

Overall, we had a fantastic experience even after a long tiring day where we are running on fumes. The kind staff to the great food.

We will definitely be back!

Bay View Restaurant near Horseshoe Bay, TX is an excellent restaurant with great atmosphere, view of the lake, inside and outside dinning. The food surpassed expectations we had the red snapper, beef filet and the crab stuffed flounder. All of us really enjoyed our meals. We agreed the food exceeded our expectations. Our server’s name was Ameris. She was very sweet, kind and personable. She helped to make it a special experience. This is a great dining experience for a special night or vacation dinner.

Went for lunch on Friday. The view is spectacular! Food was very good- I had the Cali Club and hubby had Fish 'n Chips. Our waitress was very nice. She had little chats with all of her tables, but still managed to take excellent care of our needs. We will definitely be back!

Bay View absolutely exceeded my expectations!

I was on a road trip to a wedding and looking for a place to stop for food. I wasn’t interested in fast food and wanted something with healthier options and better quality, which is usually tough to find while road tripping. Then I found Bay View, and everything about the experience was amazing—from the friendly hosts at the entrance, to our awesome waiter, Lionel, to the fresh, high-quality food.

We started with the tuna nachos as an appetizer. The portion was generous and would be a great choice for a group. The tuna was incredibly fresh and flavorful. For our entrees, we had the Hawaiian short rib and a tuna poke bowl. The short rib was melt-in-your-mouth good. The meat was so tender it fell apart as soon as the fork touched it, and the flavor was incredible. I honestly wish I had the recipe. The tuna poke bowl was hands down the best I’ve had—and I’ve had a lot of poke bowls. It was the perfect portion, the flavors were spot on, and again, the tuna was so fresh and high quality.

Lionel was attentive, upbeat, and made us smile and laugh with every interaction. The entire experience was enjoyable from start to finish.

If you ever find yourself looking for a place to eat in this area, trust me, you’ll love Bay View. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality and portion size. Huge compliments to the chef and the entire staff. Thank you!
