This is an excellent mom and pop kind of diner. The food is exceptional and the wait staff is friendly and helpful. This is NOT fine dining but perfect for anyone looking for good food in a friendly place. You can call ahead to ask what is on the buffet for the day.
The offer a buffet line at noon ranging from salad bar to soup and pinto beans and rice. The bar isn't elaborate however offers all fresh basics and a few down home south, coleslaw, pickled okra, potato salad. The food is adequately covered with plexiglass sneeze bar. I was one of 3 older ladies returning from a high school reunion in Southeast Texas traveling back to the Dallas area. We got a late start and postponed breakfast, but time passed, and it was nearing the noon hour. We checked on-line and found this little gem of a country restaurant. We called ahead and found that they served breakfasts all day. We took a hop over from 287 and were so glad we did. The breakfast was wonderful!
