“My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner at the Boar’s Nest last week for our wedding. We reserved the room in the back, where they do cornhole. The food was excellent, the layout was perfect, and Jess did a great job decorating in my colors and style. I highly recommend anyone throwing a party to utilize the restaurants back room, as it’s spacious and has great furniture. Our weekend was very special, and the Boar’s Nest helped make it happen. They also catered our wedding, and the food was amazing. The smoked turkey and pulled pork are to die for! We love all the staff and the owners, and we will be lifetime customers :-)”

“My normal gas station is being renovated so I went on down the road a bit. The aroma from the taqueria inside was amazing. I wasn't even hungry atm, but figured I'd grab lunch and meet hubby at his work later for a car picnic. We shared everything except the spicy salsa because that was all his.

The quesabirria tacos were so absolutely delicious! I could easily see just sipping the sauce as a soup. The meat was tender and full of flavor -even without the sauce they were excellent. The queso was a great binder, adding body and structure to the taco.

We also really liked the tripas tacos. I was given a choice between crispy and soft tripas, and couldn't remember how hubby preferred it so went with middle ish? They came with grilled onions along with the usual fresh onion/cilantro. The crunchy bits with soft onion, noms. I didn't really end up using my mild salsa, because everything already had so much flavor. Hubby did like the extra punch of the spicy red salsa.

Hopefully this weekend I'll be back to grab some menudo in the morning, I'm looking forward to trying it!”

Only 1 water came out with lime so I asked for another slice of lime and the guy at the window acted like I was asking for the golden ticket. ? I mean come on it was a slice of lime. “My family and I are from out of town, visiting to fix up the family home of my 70 yr old mother. My family had the sniffles from weather changes and no one felt good, but the house was torn up and no cooking could be done.

This wonderful place welcomed us in, made us feel at peace, and made minestrone off-menu for my family. Soup for a family I needed to care for.

“I’ve eaten here twice and both times the food has been excellent! Unassuming restaurant atmosphere. Beef fajitas are perfect. Meat is tender and the correct cut and the onions and peppers are truly sautéed so they have that wonderful caramelization. The green sauce is made from jalapeños with no avocado or tomatillo. Prices are reasonable and the workers are very nice. Definitely recommend!”
