Bbq here tastes pretty good. I like the sausage not very salty. Brisket was a bit dry. Friendly service. I would come back if in the area again.

I just want you to know, I've missed Carl's terribly for the past 9 years Moved to Oklahoma. They're good people, but bbq restaurants don't know how to cook brisket, they all serve dry sliced brisket. Carl's has great brisket, ribs

I got the loaded baked potato, and it’s the biggest, most beautiful perfectly filled, picture perfect potato you could ever ask for and at a decent price. kinda expensive but worth it.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered a chopped beef baked potato. It was okay, filling and priced right, but the beef didn't have the smoked flavor I was hoping for. This was my first visit, and while they do offer lunch specials with Entrees and sides, I'd probably choose another BBQ spot with better options next time.
Delicious! I had the two meat plate with turkey and ham, my ham was on the fattier end of trimmings, but it was fine. Potato salad and okra were delicious!

This place has been a Cypress staple for decades. Been going here since I was a kid and highly recommend the Chow down BBQ potato with chopped beef. Haven't ever found a better BBQ potato anywhere else. Staff always friendly and recognize us every week. Also, kids eat free on the weekends making it the best value BBQ around.
Atmosphere is rustic and authentic. Definitely shows it's age. Minor thing - probably could do some improvements to the parking lot though.
