My wife and I have been to Taisho Japanese Bar and Grill a few times now, mainly because it’s close to home, and overall it’s a solid spot that’s worth trying.
The setting is one of the highlights. It’s located right by the lake in Towne Lake, and the layout of the restaurant is well done—nice atmosphere, good vibe. Service was also pretty good. When we arrived, we were the third couple in line and didn’t have to wait long at all, which was a plus....

Excellent experience at this Japanese hibachi restaurant. The portions are very generous and the food is absolutely delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked, the fried rice was well seasoned, the vegetables were fresh and cooked just right, and the sushi was incredibly fresh.
The service was outstanding — very attentive and friendly the entire time. The hibachi atmosphere also makes the experience fun and unique.

The server and chef were both friendly, and the chef was very impressive at his job! (As someone who’s never experienced teppanyaki before this trip, everyone should try it at some point.) The food tasted excellent and was very well cooked, and the prices (though I can only speak for lunch) were very good, considering the experience and portions offered.
