This is a must stop if in or traveling through Dalhart! I loved visiting with the owner and hearing her story, and the food was delicious. Great portion & the drumsticks were huge!
Donuts are only made on Tuesdays now. The chicken and sticky rice was ok but nothing spectacular. Chicken is unseasoned. The sauce that comes with it tastes like watered down non spicy Tabasco sauce.

What a hidden gem! We stopped here in 2020 while passing through Dalhart on our way to Phoenix. The owner saw my license plate and asked “Are you from Minnesota?” Turned out that he was from the same small town as we are! Super nice guy, and great donuts. We stopped back today (5 years later) on our way through town again to check in. We were too late for donuts, but were happy to see that his wife has kept the business going.
