I love AJ’s!! I love how convenient and quick they are and food quality and taste remains consistent. We always get a bunch of apps on a Friday night and just indulge- It’s one of my favorite meals. This place is a gift for this neck of the woods. I hope they stay open for years to come!!
I had the gyro sandwich meal. Let's start with the Lamb gyro. The flavor was on point, as well as the tenderness. The tzatziki sauce has a good flavor and is not overpowering the lamb. The pita bread seemed to be a good quality. The fries were fresh, hot, and crispy.
It was a mediocre experience at best. The food was previously frozen food that was heated up, and they were out of a good bit of everything. I ended up with a gyro plate, and the meat was ok. The tzatziki was chunky and didn't feel like a sauce, and the rice was heavy, not very flavorful, and felt like microwave rice.
