I worked at a famous BBQ place as a young man and have had BBQ many many times. One of my favorite things about Texas. But this place was really bad. The guy who took our order was an idiot and a little obnoxious. BBQ was not very good ordered 179 dollars of food and they did not put any sauce in the bag! Cole slaw was lousy but thankfully the large to-go container was half empty! The the collard green were spicy and too salty ... So if there are lots of misspelled words and gramatical mistakes it's because of the shock of the exp. at blu's BBQ.

I really wanted to like this place- but i just really couldn't get over the dry/unflavored brisket. We got a pound of brisket which was about 5 slices. It had a good bark to the sides of it but the actual meat didn't have any flavor and was extremely dry and hard to cut with a knife. However both sausages were really good- we both the regular pork and beef and the jalapeño cheese sausage and they were both tasty. All 3 items (1b Brisket, 1lb Reg Sausage, 1 lb jalapeño sausage) were about $60 which is pretty average for most BBQ places. They had an area of picnic tables if you wanted to eat there but otherwise it was mainly order at the window and go. There was a good amount of people waiting for food so maybe we just caught them at the end of the day and at a bad time, but to me, the brisket was just disappointing.

I had the 2 meat, 2 side plate for about $20. Disappointed that I received one medium slice of brisket and about a 5" slice of jalapeño sausage. Not a good value. Food was good.

I've been here several times and ordered the chicken half, chicken wings, rib tips, ribs, and mac. The smoked chicken wings lacked flavor but the smoked chicken half was large in size full of flavor. I absolutely loved the rib tips but the pork ribs didn't have enough flavor. I wasn't a fan of the of the mac due to once again, flavor. All in all I would definitely reccomend the meats and bbq sauce.

This place is mediocre at best!! They are under staffed and the service is horrible which can ruin a food experience as we all know!! So much good BBQ around with better service ! Don't waste your time!!

Food was delicious & spot on. As a healthcare worker, I always wash my hands before eating after seeing a patient. I was unable to do so, There is an inside place to do so. but the doors are locked. They offer picnic tables, but I was constantly bothered by this random stray cat that kept rubbing up on my leg. Hence ruining my meal. I ordered bbq sauce, received none. When asked for regular, I got spicy. I paid $3.25 for onions & pickles, & o received nothing, upon looking in my bag & home. Food is amazing, but customer service & condiment availability is poor.

Disappointing. We have been getting Blu's BBQ for several years now and always really enjoyed it. I'm not sure if it has been sold or changed owners but today's meal was disappointing. I ordered a brisket taco only to be told they have the ingredients to make it but now only serve tacos Mon-Friday. I then ordered a chopped brisket sandwich and was told they only do sliced but after asking repeatedly they chopped the brisket. Also attempted to order corn bread and was told they don't do that. Ordered the 5 cheese Mac and cheese which was edible but not the same recipe in the past and not near as good. All of these items, chopped brisket sandwich, brisket tacos, and cornbread are all on their online website menu with no notes of change or items on specific days. Entire family disappointed in food and customer service. Will not be returning. If you go, have a back up order in the event they're not serving whatever is on their menu that day or at all or maybe they just don't feel like it. Goodbye Blu's...we'll miss you.

I ordered thru Lunchdrop. I have eaten Greens all my life and I have never had Greens taste like fish. The corn was awful and the brisket was fatty and not pleasing. I spent $30 on this meal. Disappointed doesn't describe it. I can honestly say without reservation that was the worst meal I have ever had...and I am 66!

So this is our 4th time getting the Brisket smash burger. The first two times, it was great. The third time, it didn't taste as good. We thought it was just a bad night. The picture is from last week. The burger has shrunk each time, but this was ridiculous. It didn't use to look like this, which is why we kept coming back. I called the restaurant. The person that answered was combative. He says maybe the meat is dense, so that's why it looks small. I didn't argue and said that we won't be back. They could care less. Maybe this is the reason there used to be a line to get food there and there was 1 person on a Friday night.

I smell the delicious smoke and food in the mornings in the neighborhood and was happy we finally tried it. It was as good as it smells! The beef rib (Saturday special I believe) was HUGE and quite tasty. Very tender and a nice crust/char. It was melt in your mouth, like a better pot roast. My favorite items were the cornbread - the pumpkin and the regular, and the smoked street corn. Wow was the corn good. Very smoky but perfect with the cotija and hot sauce. So good! I also loved the spicy bbq sauce. Definitely get extra. You'll want it. The burnt pork needs ends were almost sold out, but we scored a 1/4 lb. Also quite good. I love the burnt/charred part and the pork was great. The chopped brisket was moist and with a good amount of smoke flavor. The max and cheese was good, not as good as the other sides. The banana pudding is whipped, light and fluffy with lots of nilla wafers. The caramel in the apple cobbler made it better than a pie, the perfect amount tot apples, crush, and caramel. I would definitely go back. Need some more corn and cornbread and to try more of the items on the menu.

Blu's is our go to place for BBQ. This year we ordered a smoked turkey breast for Thanksgiving. It did not disappoint. All of our guests loved it! My granddaughter especially enjoyed it. Leftovers were also outstanding. Next time, I need to remember to get some BBQ sauce for the turkey but that was my mistake. Blu's is a great BBQ place. We have know that for some time but now we know they are perfect for Thanksgiving turkey, too. I highly recommend.

Highly recommend the loaded mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, and ham for Thanksgiving. These items were a huge hit at our family dinner!

I 1st found Blu's on Groupon last year. And I don't live in that area. So it was a while before I went. Yelpers get this Groupon for this barbecue spot. We know barbecue is pricey in TX. I reached my max purchase limit lol. The burnt ends and brisket are yummy. But once my brisket was a little too dry. On Tues they have rib tips which were decent but I like meat fat and they were too lean for my preference. And the sauce was a little too sweet but I fixed that with hot sauce and vinegar. BTW when David Beckham and wife were in town for the soccer game they went there. So I can say they ate at my bbq spot lol. The mac and cheese was yum. Not mushy from 1st bite to last reheated bite. So they cook their noodles just right for my taste. The fellas who work there are friendly and cool .Yes, there's a lot of good BBQ spots but for the price of food you gotta try Blu's.

The best BBq I have had in a long time. They are a hole in the wall and surprised at how good their product is.
