Ordered a salad sliced tomatoes and pizza cheese in big chunks .a lot less than I expected. It was a great place though best music in awhile . Everyone was getting the fried steak dinner wish I hadn't cooked a big turkey this afternoon. Service with a smile Great place really enjoyed it. Don't eat first and enjoy a Texas fried steak dinner . For sure potatoes and team gravy . Only thing is now I'll go back for sure

Tried to enjoy Saturday lunch with my daughter...it's been awhile since I lived in Deep Ellum, but they have slipped. My daughter enjoyed her hamburger, but the chips were overcooked and they had oxidized potato before frying making them visually not pleasing. Now for the chicken fried steak - it was the toughest, least favorable steak every for the best chicken fried steak in town. Worse, the gravy had so much chicken base/cubes it was all you could taste. Once I got my black-eyed peas it was half juice and not beans.

AMAZING HOME COOKED FOOD! ?And I'm PICKY! Biggest pancakes and portions you'll ever find. The Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potatoes & Mac n' Cheese is my favorite. You have to try the Chicken Fried Chicken and My Son LOVES the Tequila Sunrises! ? They have Everything to order all the time but this Sweet spot closes at 3pm so get there! Especially if you are a patient or visitor of Baylor, this is a MUST TRY!Parking: We've had no problems parking close to the restaurant.
