After reading the reviews about this places we decided to visit..
Not being from the area it was a little hard to find, the parking lot on the side is a good thing to have.
We were greeted promptly and taken to our table, our server took our drink and food order and then the food came..... not very impressed with the food...I had the Guisado de Puerco, the sauce was bland and the pork meat had no taste, my wife had the cheese enchiladas with 3 different sauces with only one sauce being good, one thing we have never seen is Mexican cheese enchiladas stuffed with cheddar cheese, they had no distinguished flavor, the jalapeño margarita was weak and watered down...we couldn't find our server for a long time so I had to get up and asked someone to send her to or table...
Lots of good reviews about this place but maybe we went there on a bad day...place was loud...chips and salsa not too bad..

We were in town for a convention at the Hilton Anatole and like to visit small places that are not chain restaurants. I chose this place because of the trip advisor reviews as I feel they give the most honest feedback. When we arrived it looked like it may have been a house converted to a restaurant. We walked in (5pm) and it was kinda dim. There were a few tables filled. Before we could be seated (less than 2 min of waiting), while standing at the entryway my daughter was greeted by a large roach that was coming right towards her feet. My son noticed and told me there was a bug and I saw it moving towards the door and the wall divider that separated the entry from the seating. I told my husband we had to leave and he told the waiter we changed our minds and left. Now I know bugs happen, but we were in a high traffic area, lights were on, during day time hours. This roach was not scared. I can only imagine what the roach activity looks like where there is an abundance of food available in the kitchen.
Sat down and got my food within 10 minutes! Excellent food regardless if you’re on a time crunch or not!

The best Mexican food I have ever eaten in my entire life. The best Mexican restaurant in the United States. Salsa was very flavorful, tasty. Friendly staff, budget friendly meals and amazing food. Their quesadillas are to die for.. very good food. Will come again… a good heart-warming meal cooked to perfection
