This place is very nice. The atmosphere is 10/10. Food was good drinks even better. Our reservations was for 930 we didn't get seated until 1015. Other then that I would definitely come back again

For everyone thinking about going to Babou’s at the Hotel Swexan, the bartender(s) barely acknowledged melanated people…we left without ordering anything after we watched them take the order of people on both sides of us.

I really wanted to have a good time here but I did not. We waited patiently at the bar to order drinks, and were never acknowledged by the staff. However we did watch multiple groups of people on the immediate side of us receive their orders as me and my friend were repeatedly skipped over. They wouldn’t even look at us. Yes it was a busy night but we were also appropriately dressed and being respectful to everyone around us. The DJ did a good job and we wanted to stay but I will not beg anyone to take my money. I will not be back at this establishment.

Nov,2024: 5⭐: I would recommend this location and this work crew. This location was a bit difficult to locate but it was worth it. We found a parking spot on the street quickly as someone pulled out of a parking spot. There is garage parking but we didn't use it. We entered via the library door. We absolutely loved everything we came across after that inside the club. The personnel were great and helpful. The drinks were not cheap but accurately prepared to order and my taste.

Quaint with elegant atmosphere. The food choices were really good, just expect something light, not dinner. Grown and upscale ambience. Naiyah was the bartender, and outstanding!
They double book/stack the reservations but don’t communicate that until they’re rudely kicking you out. Give the hosts some communication training. The security dude by the restrooms was acting like he was part of the president’s secret service detail. Chill out sir. Don’t be fooled by the photos, it’s not quaint and vibey. Overcrowded, over priced, over loud. Skip.

I came in today just for a drink after work on a friday. I bit hard to find. I met Julian at the front door randomly. Babous was not open yet and I expected to just be run off.... except, to my surprise, he gave me a tour of the bars and restaurants. Everyone was welcoming and said hello. 5 star service for a random walk in. Btw, the Old Fashioned there is on point. Good job guys - Carlos
