Family-run corner restaurant with a menu of Thai favorites. Clean, quiet, quaint atmosphere. Excellent penang, and the pad-woon-sen clear noodles are also great. Service is fast and attentive. Lots of seating and they appear to do a thriving takeout business.

The best Thai food in Dallas hands down. No exceptions.

Just realized I haven’t reviewed this place yet. Atmosphere is great, quiet unless there’s a big family. BUT to the food…mmmmmm. Don’t sleep on the roast duck, you’ll regret it. It’s so so good. The crispy basil really merges nicely with the duck and the rice and don’t get me started on the sauce is lathered in. Mmmmmmm!! If you’ve been putting it off, stop. It’s great.

My recent takeout experience with Bangkok City Restaurant left a lasting impression, not just for the quality of their food but also for the exceptional customer service. On a night that stretched a little too late, the staff at Bangkok City were incredibly accommodating, kindly waiting past their closing time to ensure we received our order. It's rare to find such understanding and flexibility in the restaurant industry, and it's something that truly sets Bangkok City apart. As for the meal itself, there were many highlights. The spicy basil noodles stood out with their perfect blend of heat and flavor, making every bite a delightful experience. The fried rice was another winner, offering a satisfying blend of textures and tastes that was both comforting and delicious. The spring rolls were crisp and light, served with a dipping sauce that was nothing short of amazing, adding a tangy kick that enhanced the overall taste. However, the Panang curry, while generally a favorite dish of mine, was not quite to my liking on this occasion. It had a notably strong aftertaste that didn't sit well with me, though this is more a matter of personal preference than a critique of the dish itself. In summary, my experience at Bangkok City Restaurant was overwhelmingly positive. The food, for the most part, was excellent, and the staff's kindness and willingness to go above and beyond for their customers was truly commendable. It's these qualities that make Bangkok City a standout restaurant, and I'm keen to return and explore more of their menu in the future.

I think the best pad thai that I’ve ever had! The massaman curry with tofu was also excellent. The prices were a teensy bit steep, but I suppose that’s to be expected amidst all of this recent inflation. I highly recommend this place!

I have to say, nothing feels better in a time of inflation than spending hard earned money on terrible food and borderline offensive service. Do you like eating rubbery canned crab-meat over fried rice that was made with a knock-off instant pot and paying $22 for it? Or do you like watching your waitress actively avoid you and your very empty water glass that was never once refilled while she bends over backwards for the other customers? I know I love watching other people who came in well after me get their food first while mine is most likely forgotten about under a greasy heat-lamp in the back. This place is a treasure trove of experiences. It should be listed as an immersive experience of frustration and inequality more so than simply a restaurant, because I swear, I was looking for hidden cameras at one point during this lovely fiasco. “Did you tell the manager of your experience?” One might ask. Oh yes, and I received a dead-eyed smile in return at my reserved feedback. But in all honestly, I recommend this place if your tastebuds are not functioning and you like bad parking, and if being treated like a leper gives you a thrill.Parking: There is minimal street parking and a small lot behind the building that is easily filled and riddled with huge craters.

I had the misfortune of dining here because Google said they have crab fried rice. This restaurant went out of their way to make us feel unwelcome. First approach parking. This is not a place you have much street parking but they have a parking lot if you have an alterrain vehicle you should be fine. It's straight up a hill with a moon sized crater in it. Then you have to find the entrance. It's insane we should have left then. Persistence definitely didn't pay off. The place is clean and decorated decently. So I was hopeful. The waitress was very short with us we could barely get out order or anything before she was gone. I noticed then she conversed with other tables but not us. Ok so maybe she knew them. Then our appetizers arrived and they were hot and very good. Then several people who didn't look like us were seated after us. So after the appetizers we waited and waited and watched all those people who came after us get their orders. So I flagged down the waitress and instantly her face changed like I'm bothering her. An I asked about our order. She said it's coming and ran off carrying a water picture well my water glass was still sitting on Empty. I had to call this woman again to get water. She was filling up the other table glasses before they were empty. So eventually we get our food and it was terrible especially in comparison to good crab fried rice we had the previous week. But we tried to eat it. I called the manage over to try and explain why their review was gonna be blatantly honest. However she didn't care she just smiled and said she hoped my day would be better when we left. The problem with that was my day was perfect before and after but you just insinuated I'm an angry black woman but you wouldn't even converse with me. So I'm doing what no one done for us previously I'm telling the truth. They did not appreciate my money just because I don't look like their normal clientele.
