My husband and I have been to the Commons Club three times and with this being our 3rd time expected great food and service. Unfortunately we did not receive that. We paid $150 for sub par food. There were so many issues! We were told it was a new menu and were excited to try it. The portion sizes were small even though we were told by our waitress the sharable of the shrimp and grits were enough for 2 people. It was barely enough for one plus it had prawns not shrimp in it. We thought maybe the main meal would be better as we were told we'd get a wing and thigh or breast and the roasted chicken would be a good size. This meal came out sloppy and we had two small chicken wings comparable to wing stop. On top of that the chicken was pale and had gristle and fatty pieces all over. We were also asked at the beginning what kind of water we wanted but had no idea we'd be charged $14 for sparkling water. At a pricey restaurant that should be complimentary. We are extremely upset that we drove 50 min from Argyle for this. It really put a damper on our date night which we only get to do ever so often since we have children. Smh

I wanted to take my daughter out for her birthday to a special place in Dallas with great food, service and great photo opps. Choosing Commons Club was the right choice! We had the most incredible service from Diondré, who went above and beyond to keep us happy and even brought a special dessert to help us celebrate. I cannot say enough great things about the food - we didn't need to eat again until 3pm (and ate here at 9am!). Portions were perfect and filling, everything was fresh and beautifully presented.Diondré mentioned the entire menu has been updated - and the Snapper is absolute FIRE so check it out! *Note that current menu photos are likely outdated at this point.I can't wait to go back!

On Entry: The dining room has a nice relaxed-chic atmosphere with warm lighting, very comfortable seating, plush fabrics, and low ambient music. Hostesses are friendly, welcoming, and attentive when you walk up.Menu: a bit more lavish and adventurous than I would usually prefer in terms of choices for dinner but there are fun and unique options available for a special night out. Even though it’s a bit outside of my usual pick for a weeknight, it’s still a strong 5-stars for me here because the food was exquisite on every plate they brought out. I couldn’t resist taking a piece of cheesecake (with ice cream!) home with me and it was delicious as well.Staff & Service: My waiter was Jesse and he was absolutely top-notch from start to finish. He came to the table promptly when I sat down, provided personal recommendations from the menu and explained some of the more ornate dishes to me in detail to help me decide on something I’d enjoy, he came by to check in just enough, and overall made my experience a very positive one. The flow of the dinner service is a bit relaxed (not slow) so if you’re in a hurry I’d recommend bringing it up right away when you sit down.Parking: Valet is super quick and friendly but pricey, and there is little to no self parking available nearby.General Observations:- This may not be the best venue for little ones because the menu is limited to more elaborate dishes with unusual flavors and ingredients.- The process appears to be largely undefined for Virgin gift card use in the restaurant. Wait staff and management alike seemed perplexed by how to navigate the redemption.

The service we received here was terrible. We put in our drink orders, and waited a while to receive them. Then I ordered food and we never saw our waiter again until he came and dropped off the checks without even asking. The drink was good and I was ready to order another one…guess not!On top of this, I was fined $87 DOLLARS for a parking ticket. I get that not paying for my parking spot is on me, honest mistake I didn’t see it, but $87 is RIDICULOUS for a parking ticket at a hotel parking lot. Safe to say I will not be coming back nor will I recommend this place.

The dining area is very nice and quaint. We were able to sit in the semi private room with a few other tables. The ambiance was beautiful as it is nearing Valentines. The food was amazing and tasty. I didn't get any drinks to know the look or taste. Service from the attendant to the waitstaff was very good as well. Paid valet parking. Make sure to read the parking signs if you self park.

The food was prepared and plated beautifully. Everything was flavored perfectly. The steaks rival those of any top tier steak house in town. The Duck Flautas... OMG! The magic is in the preparation. Service and ambience hits all the marks. Highly recommend. Our server Jessie was exceptional. He really takes pride in his work and commitment to excellent service. Looking forward to our next evening at the Commons Club.

During our stay at the Virgin Hotels, we stopped by here for cocktails. I loved the atmosphere and the decor, and every night it looks like there's some wedding afterparty celebrating here. The bartender was super friendly, and we enjoyed that he took the time to make us something special based on our preferences! However, the actual drinks were not great. Their aperol spritz was fine but nothing special, and their mixed drinks were much too sweet. Unfortunately, it felt like the drinks really fell flat in comparison to the rest of the vibe here. While it was convenient for a hotel bar, I would recommend trying some other nearby spots for a tasty drink.

Commons Club is located inside the Virgin Hotel in the Design District of Dallas. Some of my friends and I went for a “girls’ night out” to check out their Christmas pop-up shop. The decor was wonderful and the holiday themed drinks were good. I had a spiked hot chocolate, cranberry champagne, and a “nice” shot. We also tasted the fries and salsa. They were okay.Overall we had a decent time but, I don’t think the experience was worth the $16-20 cover fee (when there’s several other holiday pop-ups for free in the area). The music could’ve been better too.The total spent was about $50. I’d go back but not for this particular pop-up.Parking: The best option is valet. You may get lucky and find street parking but there’s so much road construction that it made it difficult.

The atmosphere is very chill and laid-back, drinks are good as well as the food,my fiancé and I got the baked Mac n cheese which was cheesy and we also got the pesto grill cheese with tomato soup which was bussin, and we got baked Brie bites which were delicious. Overall great place for a date and will definitely come back.

I really paid $16 cover to go to this Christmas pop up to drink "themed drinks" which was an espresso martini with a candy cane on it for $18. Drinks were weak, especially the ornamintini tasted like some kind of juice. No dj, no music, just soft Christmas-y piano music played quietly over the speakers. If you're finding this place based on the tik tok advertisements just know the vibe is nothing like the video. Then to top it off we try to check out and they would only split the check between 2 cards for a party of 8, then we try to pay cash and they said cash is not accepted. The manager apologized and said the website should've said it on the event site, but acknowledged it didn't. And a $35 service charge on our tab for what? It wasn't an included gratuity that's for sure.I've done Christmas pop ups every year and have been excited to go to the Virgin after saying I'd try it since the opening, but this was not it. No vibe. And I can think of 10 different cocktail lounges in the area I'd rather go to for a higher end experience.

Walking back from dinner we saw a bar that was DECKED out in christmas decor and wanted to check it out! So glad we did! it's such a cool vibe with specialty cocktails on a menu strictly for the moment! Bobby one of the bartenders was so friendly and nice to our group, he explained what was happening and that it had just opened a few days before. It was a fun atmosphere with deliciously strong cocktails!!! I would go back after christmas to see what else they have to offer at this bar and the Virgin hotel itself!

Great bar to relax and meet new people if you are up for it! A place with specialty drinks and the classic ones as well. Troy is an amazing bartender, and his energy compliments the atmosphere of the Virgin Hotel.
