The young man who was working when I went for some cookies was either racist or just hated his job. Or special, because he was acting angry as soon as me and my girlfriend (we are black) walked in the store. Saying things like "what do you want man" huffing and puffing for no reasons. Never seen the kid before. And after my gf called him out for his unacceptable attitude. He started playing the victim because my gf called him out. If I wasn't scared catching a charge or being seen as the aggressor as soon as the law came because I'm black I would've slapped some sense into him. Cookies were a B. Definitely not going back there. Only reason I went there was cuz my first 3 options were either not open or out of ingredients.

Best cookie around. Anytime we r in the area we have to stop and get a few cookies. The best part is you get a little bit of the salt they put on top that cuts down the sweetness. So darn good.

This place 2 out of 10 times is actually open during business hours! Today I thought id give it another try and the doors were locked with a worker inside. He hid behind the counter and didn't come to the door, popping up to see if i had gone...Terrible customer service! The cookies are good if you can actually get in.

I feel really bad having to leave this especially after such excitement to try these guys out and after several strong recommendations from friends. The customer experience was absolutely horrible and I usually have very low expectations to meet. I don't know who the kid is that's working here and I've never historically left a bad review for a specific person working at a place but come on man even a little effort. I get there is a lot or crazy stuff going on but if you can't step up to do your job just stay home. The first time we attempted to try this place out a few weeks ago we go in and there were already other customers in there waiting as well and this kid working was on some type of video / teleconference call with his doctor or therapist or something and everyone was waiting around for nearly 10 minutes with no acknowledgment of what was going and everyone in there self included just ended up leaving and going to the place next door for dessert. The next couple attempts were also fails because the store wasn't open and then hours changed earlier and missed them again yesterday. That's not there fault so rating has no bearing on that, that's our own fault. Then we finally go back again today excited to finally try the place out. We get there and the same guy from a couple weeks earlier is out front smoking pot or something. I don't care what you do personally but it just came off very unprofessional for someone while working and in front of a shop that you're also trying to bring younger kids too.We then proceed to buy three different types of cookies Chocolate Chip, Macadamia and some Cinnamon Sugar. For $5 cookies I definitely had a much stronger expectation on the appearance especially after coming from looking at comparing these guys to the level of chips like Crumbl. So appearances aside I figured maybe the taste would be amazing and make up for everything leading up to this point.Unfortunately that resulted in a strong NO. The first cookie I had the Cinnamon Sugar has very little flavor at all, batter didn't seem mixed well, dry and tasted mostly just like plain cookie dough. Immediate no.On to number two, the next one Chocolate Chip. Not soft at all, slightly better than the Cinnamon Sugar but bad flavor and crunchy not at all what I'd expect from a premium cookie place.Last number three the Macadamia. This was actually the worst of the all it was extremely dry, super crunchy, not flavorful as just closed out this entire experience with a complete bust.I'm not sure if the batches of all the batters and cookies are made by the same person I mentioned above or via some standardized process independent of that person. However, if this was some part of a standardized process it really needs to be fixed for consistency in quality because as a result of all this I went from wanting to be a hardcore supporter to removing from my list of places to check out in Dallas and would never recommend based on current experiences and rather would suggest going literally anywhere else.I don't just say this out of all the frustration leading up to this point but it was one of the worst cookies and desserts I've ever had and I very very rarely leave negative reviews. You guys need to consider fixing your staffing and quality issue. I wish I could get a refund because absolute disappointment.

OMG! These freshly baked, huge, gooey cookies are a must have when in Deep Elm. The branding and packaging for their product is clever and attracts a young crowd. There are seven different types of cookies as well as milk and coffee. Check out their fun shirts; they are made of good quality and soft material. I only wonder how much better these cookies would be in an ice cream sandwich!

These cookies always manage to hit the spot while in Deep Ellum.

The cookies are $5 a piece and are only moderately better than grocery store cookies.

Pretty good. Tiny cookie shop. The cookies were chewy and crunchy at the same time which was nice. Not my all time favorite, but pretty good!

The cookies are good but are they worth $5? No, what you're really paying for is the experience of walking into an empty shop where the one visible worker in the shop standing at a window can willfully ignore you for 5 minutes (don't worry his back isn't turned or anything, he definitely sees you) before slowly sauntering over to mumble something approximating "can I help you..?" Any questions about items in the shop will be met with boredom and annoyance and at the end of your transaction you will be stared at blankly to let you know your interaction is done. There's ice cream too, but please don't ask about it. But there is also a display near the front to take Instagram-able pics with your cookies. So, that's cool, right?

This cookie shop is exactly what my boyfriend and I were hoping for on a cold Dallas night! Obviously it's in Deep Ellum so the parking is scarce ($5 lots or parallel parking) and homeless people follow you from your car (it actually happened), but this place is worth it! The man at the counter was so nice explaining all of the cookies since it was our first time there! We wanted to get one of each... but decided just getting 4 was more than enough. The man allowed us to point to which specific cookie from each flavor that we wanted and I thought that was fresh and awesome! My favorite, the snickerdoodle, was moist and flavorful and I was not disappointed. This shop gives you exactly what it advertises: large, flavorful cookies that truly taste amazing and delivers in the classic Deep Ellum way, with great service and a "Just eat the fuc*ing cookie" illuminated sign.

Walked in today to get my almost daily dose of these cookies, and the dude who serves them was in the back crying on the phone and just made us all wait there for like 15 minutes unattended to. Big waste of time, I ended up speaking up and voicing if the store was open for business or not, and the employee shows me a thumbs down acting like he isn’t going to serve any of us. Very unprofessional and unlike what I’m used to at this establishment. Please check on your employees well-being that worked today. I hope all is well.

I went here awhile ago, but their rudeness still haunts me. The staff acted like they didn't want us in there, refusing to hand us the cookies until after we paid. My dad tried to give them cash, but she rudely said "Um, we don't accept cash." The cookies were not basked, rather soft and I was worried about the safety of those cookies. If you want to spend $5 on a less than mediocre cookie then go ahead. I'm surprised it's still there.

The cookies looked great but were dried out. Hopefully that was not a regular occurence.

So Cute! I love the little shops in Deep Ellum. To be honest, I've never had a cookie here. I only eat sugar cookies, which they do not sell. The photo ops are worth the visit though. Please make sugar cookies so I can visit more!!
