I don't normally give bad reviews but I have to admit this was a totally disappointing experience. Service was slow and we were one of two parties there. Food was at best OK with the steaks being the best option. Nothing like the place used to be which is too bad. One that I can say will not be on my need to return list.
Amazing!! Really good deal for a pre-fix menu, good food, amazing service and a great piano player. Under rated in Dallas for a nice dinner.
Wow! After 30 years since our last visit, this place remains a stalwart in the Dallas fine dining scene. It was a quiet spring break Monday when we visited to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The restaurant was nearly empty, giving us the opportunity to experience the highly personable staff all to ourselves. The food maintains its very high standard and the ambiance is old world at its best. Can't believe it's been so long for us, but we're resolved to come back soon and bring friends!
Very good place to celebrate our 41st anniversary. Food was very good and service was attentive. Like the old steak vibe and a better value than across the street at newer options.
We are so happy to write about Old Warsaw. There are not enough words to explain the wonderful meal we had. Everything was wonderful. My husband had the bone in ribeye which was the best he has ever had. I had beef Wellington and I loved it. We had cherries jubilee which was prepared at our table. Delicious. Th e piano player was fantastic and knew all our favorite songs. The general manager came to see us out. A wonderful evening. We recommend old Warsaw to anyone. Wonderful ambience. Thank you! My personality is very positive and I have a glass is half full outlook. My comments are genuine. This restaurant simply is subpar. If you're looking to impress a date, go somewhere else. There's an odd scent to the place, perhaps a fresh scent could help. A clean booth would also help. There were breadcrumbs in the booth seat prior to sitting. οΏΌ Let's start with something simple like bread. οΏΌI do love good bread; the bread here was old, crumbly, and dry. The butter was literally hard and crumbled when you took a knife to attempt to put it on a knife, which was in itself most difficult. The meals ordered additionally just were not good; the food was not tasty, nothing about the plates were fresh or appealing. I do love good restaurants, and for this price point, this does not even come close to a good experience. You're better off going to Applebee's. Which I would never go to, but you get the point. This restaurant is also dated, which absolutely can be charming, but this restaurant misses the mark. I wish it had something going for it, which unfortunately it doesn't.
I had heard wonderful things about Old Warsaw, and it was all true. Fine dining in a warm European setting, attentive staff, and beautiful music on the grand piano. We look forward to returning to try more of the menu.
My MIL ate here on the 50's and she still loves it. You can still find popular things from that time like lobster thermador, escargot (best I've ever had), Black Forest cake and Beef Wellington.
This is a wonderful place to spend a lovely time with food during a great atmosphere. The welcoming is fantastic, the staff is very nice and professional. Having a great dinner and Lesson playing great piano is just simply marvelous. Thank you to all the members of the restaurant. Happy holidays. Merry Christmas π. Thank again we enjoyed so much . Superbe π
Made a reservation for our anniversary dinner. As we arrived the manager asked me to remove my hat. I'm aware of the βno hatβ rule but this was not a ball cap. I was wearing boots, jeans and a felt cowboy hat. Last I checked we are in Texas. I completely understand if it were a ball cap but a cowboy hat? No. We just left. Went to the Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse in downtown and the service was way better. We actually felt welcomed there.

We came here to celebrate a 60th bday. The reservation was for 6pm and we arrived at 5:45. We were seated immediately and we were the only couple in the restaurant for most of the night. The two servers were very nice and the food tasted very good. It was just a little eerie being the only couple there on a Monday night of thanksgiving week. The old Warsaw has been on our bucket list of Dallas fine dining establishments to visit for awhile now . (Along with Morton's , Trulucks, capitol grille, etc...) I'm not sure we would return but if you are looking into visiting this place - I'd give it a chance and see how you like it :)
Warsaw is one of those old gems in the uptown area of Dallas. It has not lost his ambience but outside there's a lot of construction going on which makes it a little difficult to get to the restaurant. Otherwise it's still cozy and warm and should continue test of time. I still recommend it years later as I had not been there in over 10 years.
i really dislike leaving negative reviews but Old Warsaw earned this one. this was a completely different experience at old warsaw than our last experience 2 years ago.. they now have small scam they have going on. on the menu you can order ala carte or they have 2 value options that come with starter, main and dessert. on value option 2 they have banana's foster and cherries jubilee. both of these desserts serve 2 people but yet it is still an option on value option 2. . here is the sort of scam. my wife ordered menu 2 and she got a piece of cake. i ordered menu 2 and got cherries jubilee. they charged us for 3 desserts. there was nothing on the menu warning us that we would be charged for an extra dessert if one of us order cherries jubilee. f there had been some sort of warning on the menu or from the server i would have order from the ala carte and saved 100 bucks. it also begs the question if you go to the restaurant alone and order value option 2 and cherries jubilee or banana's foster do the charge you 2x? i brought that to the attention of the sever and asked for the charge to be removed. he refused. those 2 desserts need to be removed from value option 2 because it is not a value it ends up costing you more if you order one of those 2. My wife loves old Warsaw but i told her that is the last time we ever go there. plenty of other fine dining places to go to that are upfront with everything on the menu. aside from the scam: old Warsaw was great. all but one of the people we enter acted with was nice (the one who was not nice was not rude even though she spoke English she only wanted to talk to people in Spanish. if you did not she blew you off. we saw her do that to several no Spanish speaking parties beside ours. yet the the 2 parties that spoke Spanish she was laughing and caring on with them) the food is top notch and i believe the price to quantity and quality of the food was really good.
οΏΌοΏΌ the place is absolutely stunning. The decor, the extensive wine list and menu. Service was good and nd very knowledgeable about wines. The only drawback for me was my steak was undercooked so I ended up taking it home and finishing it there. Additionally, while it was a very generous poor of wine, I think that the wine was on its last legs meaning the bottle had been opened a while.
We were the 1st people in the restaurant, the staff was incredibly polite and the precious piano player was honestly my favored part! Overall first time experience there was great Will definitely return with friends!!
