Dick's Last Resort - Dallas Reviews
It was our first time ever at a Dick's Last Resort. we had an absolute BLAST! Rebecca was more than amazing and her energy is beyond contagious. As long as she is there we will absolutely be back again when in the area!
Our waitress was short, blonde hair and wore a backwards hat. She was terrible. From friends who have had a Dick’s Last Resort experience, they insisted bringing our young kids to the restaurant was going to be mild. I would have never brought them here if I knew what was about to happen! The waitress was constantly coming around harassing us, mainly my husband, barely gave us time to even look at the menu. This woman was absolutely amazing! We had three kids with us (4, 6, 7, & 14). The banter she had going back and forth with the 14 year old kept a grin on her face, as well as the low level insults to the little kids such as telling my son she didn’t care with a laugh when he tried to show her his drawing. Dick's Last Resort is a unique restaurant experience where the staff intentionally treats customers with a playful disregard. The atmosphere features rude waiters who still manage to meet guests' needs, delivering lots of sass and hats that clearly show where customers stand. The staff's antics and paper hats are part of the intentionally rude theme, which may not appeal to everyone, especially families with children. While the food quality varies, many find the food just average, with some dishes like Mac n cheese being too spicy for children, and burgers often overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. The Caesar salad may look big but is surprisingly small. Despite the food not always being perfect, guests often enjoy the fun, humorous environment and excellent service, with some servers going above and beyond to accommodate large parties and special occasions. However, the lack of air conditioning has become a concern, making it uncomfortable for diners. The heat can distract from the meal, but guests still come for the lively experience rather than a fine dining meal. Overall, it’s a place for those looking for a humorous experience in a casual setting.
