I was charged $172.00 for cold sub-par food and absentee service. I finally walked up to front counter so I could pay and get out of there asap. One the worst experience I've had by far.. the money isn't the issue, but the fact that I feel as if I robbed is the part that really bothers me

Don Chabe Steak is an absolute gem! The food is simply amazing — bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere feels truly authentic, making the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant is spotless, which really shows the pride they take in their business. Our server was outstanding — attentive without being intrusive, and she made sure we never went without anything. Every detail was spot-on. We will definitely be coming back!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Also there was only one waiter so the wait was a bit long

The pozole verde didn’t have any flavor and the agua de jamaica also just tasted like water, they should work more on the flavor of the food… not the worst thing I’ve tried but definitely could be better👍🏼

I certainly do not recommend this restaurant.
We arrived at the destination, not many clients were at sight. Perhaps around 5 people in total. We waited quite a bit for our food, I’m guessing they must have been short staffed. My partner & I, asked for the chilaquiles & quesadillas. We took our first bite, and it wasn’t worth the wait at all. You couldn’t taste the chilaquiles correctly, it had too much salsa & cilantro. To salty. The quesadilla was pure oil, with the meat & cheese put into it. Not a great combo at all.
Prices are ridiculous, for what they put in the table, so not stepping foot here again.

It’s a needle concept of a place but I tried one of their steak burgers and it is just too far over done…. It’s trying too hard I think is what I’m trying to say.

Order the ribeye, period. Cooked exactly how you ask every time - my medium-rare comes with that perfect pink center and crispy char. Sides are simple but done right: mashed potatoes with real butter, creamed spinach that's actually creamy. No reservations, so I go at 5:30pm to avoid the after-work crowd. Worth every penny.

Mixed emotions. I was the only customer when I went. I got the ribeye upon my servers suggestion. The steak was good. Server was attentive. Check was brought. My bad because everything was good so I did not check the bill when she brought it I just signed it and I left a cash tip. To my disappointment, when I got home, I looked at the receipt to find that she had overcharged me for my steak. Before you order there check the prices on your menu because they vary from menu to menu $10 to $20 for the same entre and what prints out on your bill.. All pricing is hand written on the menus. It was my own fault for not checking my ticket. The food was good. I will be back. But I will confirm the price before I order.

Excellent food. Tacos had good meat and were $2.5. The chorizo, arrachera, and pastor were fantastic. The quesadilla was $10.99 and delicous. They had a great special on Margarita for $4.5. The Michelada's were great and $8.
It comes with free chips and salsa and queso dip

Don Chabe Steak might just be one of the most underrated spots in Dallas. The steak was perfectly seasoned, incredibly juicy, and genuinely one of the best I’ve had anywhere at any price point. The value here is unbelievable for the quality you get. Service was kind and attentive, though most of the staff primarily speak Spanish. That was not an issue at all, especially with a bit of help from Google Translate. If you're focused on the food, you’re in for something special. This place absolutely deserves more attention. 10 out of 10!

The place has great decore, nice open space. Parking in the back is very tight. They seemed short staffed I went on a Saturday night I only seen 3 people working. The food was a nice presentation large burger, fries were good. Service wasn't great but they were short staffed. They have a full bar but service canned cokes, I perfer a fountain drink with free refills in a sit down spot.
