I wasn't initially put off by the burned out car in the back....I like to support family owned businesses all over the country & help the economy. When you walk through the front doors you're greeted with a 🧱 wall....I was like 🤦♂️ so you hook a right & a few more steps & you reach the dining area w typical bench seating & people enjoying Brunch on a Sunday morning. I sat down & was quickly offered 4 or 5 different drinks.....I'm a trucker I just wanted a Giant 🌯Burrito to go......I was brought a menu & they're in rough shape .... The entire thing was Spanish words with English descriptions. You have to be hungry enough to not care about the price because all the prices were marked over. I'm sure they're working on getting menus...... But I was surprised to not see the California 🌯 And this is Dallas so there should be a Texas 🌯 that's unusually LARGE, even if it's $15-$20...... I paid $25 for a burrito in Mississippi .They gave it to me in a small lasagna Pan. I ate GOOD for 3 days. It was jumbo shrimp probably beef 🥔 🧀 And whatever else they could throw in it drowned in a creamy sauce. Probably sour cream and salsa. THIS PLACE, instead of giving you a single burrito with plenty of fixings... you get 3 snack size burritos....I even went for the one w guacamole & there was a TINY splash of it. There was barely more than one cable spoon of refried beans & a scoop of rice enough to fill those tiny to go containers. I haven't seen a mirror in a few days. So I went to the bathroom to shave so I don't get mistaken for a homeless person.... I took a leak in the urinal. It had water in it but it doesn't flush I was 🤷♂️. I shaved but there's no paper towels & the air dryer doesn't work.... I got my food & I was gonna give a couple $'s to my waitress mostly because she's young & depending on tips, but the guy running the cash register rung me up for $14 & seemed to want to get rid of me fast as possible so I left. The door wobbled bad, then I noticed the top hinge of the door ready to come off... One of the three screws was halfway out. I ate my food in the comfort of my rig which is what I wanted, but when done, didn't feel like I ate a $14 meal. I could have put a chicken patty and cheese on bread for $2 and felt the same. A basically stop here. Because I needed a parking spot for a 65' semi & there was space right by the diner. The $15 Chipotle would have been better, even though they're basically the same giving you THREE HEAPING scoops of rice but ONE scoop of meat, but not before SHAKING the seving 🥄 so some of the ONE SCOOP of meat falls off the spoon back into the container, NOT into your container FILLED to the rim with RICE...... They want to take up a lot of space with something that is dirt cheap, so they don't have to put much of anything else to fill the container.

My familia and I have been coming to this place where the original was not that far away from L.G. PINKSTON waaaaaay back in the early 80s........it changed locations to what used to be a BURGER KING and it's STILL going hard after all this time.Lupe and his Mom always had the place on point.....and now it's Lupe and his long time hard workers running it.Keep up the good work guys......hopefully you'll continue to stay in West Dallas for years to come.

We went inside the restaurant, no hostess, we waited 10 minutes for someone to finally come out of the kitchen. We waited 15 minutes for the waitress to come hand me the check after we weredone. I paid $47 for 3 breakfast plates and 3 drinks. Feel like I was ripped off. Ashame because the food was pretty good.

Oh my goodness the place is amazing. It’s gotten bigger but the same young man works open to close. Knows customers, cares about the food drinks even chips that are served everyday. He acknowledges everyone who comes in. There is a places for children to play, parents to watch. A place that is above a 100% an enjoyable place to enjoy time with family friends and any special event. I’m so grateful Don Pepe’s had a chance after Covid to come back to such an amazing place to enjoy great food and friends!!! ❤️❤️❤️
