About Comedor
Comedor Reviews
The food was of good quality but it is more for the fancy taste. Servers were great and attentive. I dont know why there is a healthcare charge.
Hostess had a hard time managing tables. We had to wait for half an hour to be seated even though we had a reservation. Food was excellent which made up for the wait.
We were excited to try the popcorn cornbread and they were out. Our waiter said he would comp one of our sides for the inconvenience but we were still charged. We really liked the chicken, the glazed carrots and the Caesar salad. We also tried the scallop tostada it was cold but I enjoyed it. The ribeye tacos were very fatty but the watermelon salsa was delicious. The restaurant was very dark
Comedor offers a memorable dining experience with delicious food and attentive service. The restaurant serves flavorful dishes such as steak, short rib pasta, veal parmesan, lasagna, and halibut. The Caesar salads are large enough to share and very tasty. The menu also features popular items like Bone Marrow Tacos with quelites, smoked butter, and pecan gremolata, which many find to be the highlight of the meal. The kitchen consistently delivers impressive dishes like the Frío squad, Suncheese Tostada, Salsa Macha, Charred Cauliflower, and Shishito Salpicón, each bursting with flavor. The restaurant has a notable happy hour offering half-price oysters, making it a great spot for both celebrations and casual nights out. The atmosphere is lively, but communal seating may feel informal for some guests. While service has generally been described as friendly and thoughtful, there have been moments of inconsistency, such as when a guest experienced a lack of attention regarding table issues. However, many diners have praised the staff for their efforts to create special moments, going above and beyond for occasions. The bar offers creative cocktails such as the Repo Ginger, and the Papas Fritas from Del Huerto are crispy and well-seasoned, perfect for sharing. Overall, Comedor combines modern Mexican flavors with a welcoming environment, making it a solid choice, especially if a table can be secured instead of communal seating. Diners are encouraged not to skip dessert, as it has been highlighted as a must-try.
