I take lunch meetings here pretty regularly it’s great and their premade food like the wagyu beef brisket for holidays is the best best around and takes the pressure off me.

Girlfriend and I got horrible food poisoning on Valentine’s Day. Do not go here. Called the restaurant to let them know to check how they are storing their oysters because people can die and upfront said we don’t want any comp for our valentines being ruined. The host on the phone denied that it could have been them because food poisoning takes 48 hours to happen which is not true at all.Avoid this place like the plague if you dislike puking your guts out.

Food taste was good, service is really good and slow. The ambience is nice, not like a common bbq place. The only problem was all portions felt very small to the price you pay. Plus we ordered three of the bolognese plates to our table and they all were served in different sizes. They were easily large, medium, and small even though the order was the same. Price wise I think it was expensive $25 for a pasta that has not even a piece of meat. Taste was good, that’s all.

The restaurant has a very nice ambiance and is beautifully decorated. Both the food and service were excellent. We opted for the 2-meat combo, and both the ribs and brisket were outstanding. Our sides, the fries, and the beans, were also excellent. The Caesar salad was generously portioned, perfect for two people.

The Douglas is a nice restaurant, but it's pretty small. Unless you're in a booth, it really feels like you're at the same table as neighboring parties. We weren't super impressed on our first visit 6 months ago, but we went back last week. This time, the server said they've stopped carrying the wine we ordered, and the next closest option was $40 more a bottle. It was good, but not as good as the one they decided to stop carrying. The menus are on paper - they should be updated if they're going to stop carrying things listed on them. My date and I were going to share the porterhouse (served for 2), but they were out of it. The steaks we ordered were good, but not great, and the garlic mashed potatoes needed garlic and salt. The server and hostess were great - very attentive and friendly. The Douglas is very near our home, but with better places nearby we probably won't be returning anytime soon.

Well, what a pleasant and rewarding surprise find on our last day in Dallas, in finding Douglas Bar and Grill for lunch!Believe it or not, It's not that common to find a restaurant that exceeds your expectation for food, service, atmosphere and value for money. Firstly, the food was simply divine! My wife and I had Oysters and the Tex Mex Trio for starters - with the Tex Mex Trio including smoked guacamole (yum!)...followed by the smoked 2 meat combo of brisket and pork ribs. The smokiness was superb and the tenderness of both meats was melt-in-your-mouth....but as superb as the food was, the service was equal to this....and a huge shout out to Corey, who looked after us, as well as Mason. Thank you also for the extra samples from your menu that you brought out for us to taste - including the apple pie! Both of you lads are a credit to the fine establishment you work for.Thoroughly recommended! I encourage anyone who has seen Douglas Bar and Grill but not yet tried - do so, you will not be disappointed. We'll see you again when we are back in Dallas.Roger and Sindy SmithMelbourne, Australia

I brought some friends that were in town for a conference here for dinner. They'd been trying to get a good steak since being in Dallas and they're very selective when it comes to what qualifies as "good steak". And they gave rave reviews and multiple high-fives to me for bringing them to a place that exceeded their expectations.

Ambiance, warm, inviting, cozy.Service attentive and pleasant. Food was mixed. Fried pickles homemade and tasty.Guacamole was stated as smoked, but had no smoky flavor.Pulled pork was no sauce.Brisket would have been better sliced more thinly.Very expensive- dinner for 4 with no drinks, no dessert was $1753 stars- would not return

Nice place and appetizers were very yummy. Downfall was the parking but overall food was good.

Food was excellent. Staff was very accommodating and food was delivered quickly. Doug was great to speak with as well. The restaurant is not in a super busy area, so it's a perfect place to eat if you want to hear the conversation.

No such thing as too much of a good thing, as it turns out. The specials (Spicy Vodka Gnocchi, smash burgers) are incredible. Drinks are so solid and apps - (salmon dip) always hit the spot. Service is always so solid, we know we're in for a good time and great food here. It is the perfect spot to celebrate and has become our frequent spot to host birthday parties. Happy hour and wine/whiskey Wednesdays are both great, hard to find a good one in Dallas these days!
