I went at about 12pm and it was not busy but I could tell there had been a crowd prior to my entrance. There was a new hire working the cash register and couldn't hear what I was saying very well (mask and kitchen noises) but did his best to serve me. He was great and I can tell his miss-steps during the order process were lack of skill not lack of competence. I was greeted by silence and several employees walked past me as I stood there for almost 5 minutes in the empty restaurant. Finally I got a female to take my order and she was friendly enough. I was in the middle of ordering when she turned to a female friend and starting having a full blown conversation with her. Oh they laughed and joked...and I waited. I’m pretty old-fashioned , but if a clerk asks me if I want my bagels sliced, I expect them to be sliced. I have a tendency to eat a cranberry bottom bagel on the way home, but if they’re not sliced, I am s$&@ out of luck. Otherwise, I’m so glad Einstein’s brought back cranberry bagels!By the way, in New York City the number one ER injury is from cutting a bagel!
