Located in the Bishop Arts District, we had trouble finding an open restaurant on a Saturday evening at 8:30pm. After being turned away from a restaurant 20 minutes before their posted closing time, we walked into Gloria's. Alhough it was only 15 minutes before vlosing, their staff was happy to accommodate us. And with a smile!Being late, we quickly ordered. We got the carne asada plate & chicken enchilada plate. Wow! Both were DELICIOUS! The carne asada was accompanied with black beans, rice & fried plaintains. I was surprised to get 3 enchiladas stuffed with well-seasoned shredded chicken, topped with a yummy sour cream-based sauce. This plate was accompanied by a white rice & black beans. My serving was so large, I brought leftovers home to eat the next day. Our friend got a tamale plate & enjoyed it also.We highly recommend this wonderful find! Thanks to the staff at Gloria's for letting us into the restaurant so close to closing time.

I’ve been going to Gloria’s for years. Over the years the food quality has decreased like a lot of other restaurants but the fall off for Gloria’s is real, I give the food a 4/10 - what I ordered was simple but oh so bland, I had to add a little salt and pepper to my crispy tacos. It’s still an amazing place to dine, when it comes to ambiance and drinks. The margarita is the one thing that remains consistent, do yourself a favor and get a meltdown with no sangria.

This old fire station is great, it is the nicest place to have my lunch, I went today with one of my friends and my experience was fantastic, my waitress was Alejandra, she looked a little busy, the restaurant was busy, but it surprised us how He was always passing by our table and our drinks were always on point, the food was very good and hot, we loved the music! I recommend this place, I'm sure you will love it.

Today I had the best experience even tho it was pretty busy the manager Jesus came by our table to introduce him self and came a couple times to make sure we were ok our server Carlos was very attentive our food was delicious usually my moms well done steak don’t be very well done at other Gloria’s but here they made it just how she ordered it , our cup's remained full , definitely coming back and will be our favorite location from now on
It says Latin Cuisine but tastes more like Tex-Mex. Food has a good safe favor.

I ordered take out online through the doordash app for pick up. I went in and there was about 6 hostess standing at the front, i told them i was picking up a to go order. One of the hostess instructed me to go to the bar. As walking around the corner to the bar I noticed a table with to go orders, I looked and my order was the only one there on the table so I grabbed it and proceed to walk out assuming since they had it sitting on a foldable table out in public reach that it was customers to easily grab their orders. As leaving I was stopped at the first set of doors by one of the hostess, telling me that i need to still check in with the bar. I asked her why was the food just sitting out and she said very unsurely that she thinks they place it out so that they know the order is ready which makes 0 sense because i’ve been to other gloria’s establishments and the orders are placed behind the bar when ready and the bartender gives you your order which is why I assumed the order was out for easy customer accessibility. As walking back in a man comes around the corner in a rush towards reiterating what the host told me and stated i might have got the wrong order which i then stated it has my name on it and proceeds to pull out my phone to show proof. At this point customers inside are looking in our direction which at that point I felt get HUMILIATED & EMBARRASSED because it was coming to myself and other customers that they were trying to make it seem like I stealing food. I understand if they have certain rules but the way the situation was handle was very unprofessional & made a big deal out of nothing. The manager then takes the bag from me and states it’s a doordash order which i respond yes i ordered for pick up through the doordash app. He then looks confused and ask the bartender through his speaker mic. The bartender looks in his system and asks me was it a customer order and I said yes, he then tells the manager yes that’s is her order. The manager then looks very shocked and says to me yess this is your order, here you go. I politely said thank you and walked out embarrassed and upset. I did not get a apology. I love Gloria’s establishment but the customer service at the Bishop Arts location is very horrible.

The service was horrible. I went alone and sat at the bar. Server number 11008 let ten minutes go by before he even acknowledged me. I ordered a house margarita and asked for a food menu. Took him a minute to get the menu. Ten minutes later he came back to take my order. In the middle of me giving my order he steps away to speak to a coworker. By the time he comes back I have to look at the menu again. I gave him my order and specifically said sour cream sauce over my burrito and extra sour cream on the side. I got neither. He walks off. I was starving so I ate what I got. Oh I didn't get chips and salsa until after I got my food. At that point I was done. I'm a strong believer in tipping however this service did not deserve a tip. I didn't tip and I wrote on the receipt. SERVICE SUCKS. I will not be returning.
