Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ

We ordered the set dinner for 6 and it was excellent. Good variety and service. Also for a restaurant with open grill cooking , it was not smoky at all so probably the best ventilation we have encountered at this type of restaurant!!

This specific location is always on point. I went to the one in Plano not too long ago and although the service was great, the seasoning/food was not the same. Gyu- Dallas ALWAYS gets it right. This is my favorite restaurant.

The food was good as always. Gyu has always been my go to for years and this is the first encounter I have had where it felt like we were being discriminated. There were multiple tables around us who came in a bit before and after us and we watched them have a significant amount more check in’s then us. This was my first time bringing my partner to Gyu and while he was in the restroom, I received a check in and I asked for them to check back in with me when my partner came back out and gave them my drink order. When my partner came out they only addressed me and didn’t ask him for his drink order. It was Monday so it was Happy Hour all day and looking around I could tell we were the few of the tables that ordered from the coursed menu and that still didn’t seem to be taken into account. My partner asked for a refill on his water and 30 minutes later I had to give him mine because no employee was checking in with us. It continued into having to flag down staff to bring dessert and the bill while we simultaneously watch the tables directly to our left and right being actively attended to. To say the least it was disappointing as this was my go to spot and I was excited to show my partner and it left a sour taste in my mouth

For the price per person I expected a lot better service. I had to clean our dirty plates, go get more napkins, and get extra chopsticks. Our waiter never came came back to our table. The bathroom area had a really bad smell, like mildew. $65 a person is the same price at a proper steakhouse and I would expect the same cleanliness and service.

LOVED THIS PLACE!! I still come here every year or every several months for special occasions. Super obsessed with the sweet soy toro beef and its miso version as well. Place gets super packed really quick so I recommend making a reservation. Staff were super accommodating and kind to converse with! Overall atmosphere is very live and ambient!!

Big menu, the all you can eat is worth it. There's tips on how long to cook the different types of meats. This place is worth every penny

This is one of my favorite Japanese bbq restaurant in the Dallas area. Clean restaurant and kind staff. Always order the gyu combo with the umakara sauce and sometimes the fried cheese wontons. Everything is freshly made including the salad. The beef is always well done and full of smoky flavor. Wish I could more star rating. 20/25 :-)

As born and raised in japan, this is all- time favorite since I was high-school.
After each exam me and my friend always went 牛角！Now living in the U.S. being adult still can have 牛角 just makes me happy everytime !

I dont know the staff's name but she remembered that I don't take sugar syrup for oolong tea when I came back.
Including this kind of service, my husband who never been to Japan still felt that 牛角 has great trainings! Different quality compared to Korean bbq so as atmosphere (less quiet). We love Gyukaku!!

God I love this place. It’s always so good. The service is always excellent. I can go in/out in under 30 min total sometimes!

I've been to several Gyu-kaku locations and nothing compares to the service and quality of food like this location. I did the Premium AYCE. My server was Tuna and he was absolutely fantastic. The server was always close by and observant of when to swing by to check in. I never had to ask for a refill. My grill was constantly changed. He was promptly available to come by and take additional orders. Never did I have to flag him down and my meal was not disrupted.

The meats were all fresh and the ones that were marinated were not heavily concentrated. I did not feel lethargic after eating and the quality was delicious.

Overall, I would return to their location. It is by far the cleanest, Tuna provided exemplary service and the meats were fresh! Ask for Tuna if you want a great experience!

Love this restaurant! Been to Orlando and Dallas locations and both were great. Only small gripe is, i wish they would put on their main list of dishes which were gluten free instead of having to search through the main menu every time.

Always a great experience. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Great place to spend a afternoon lunch date and I love the open grill 😋.
