I adore this restaurant! They prepare delicious meals, their menu is decent, The chief cook in that spot is very experienced, I love very much eating all their food. The food is consistently tasty, the service towards the customers is efficient. I often go to this place and I not even once was discontended. I highly recommend it.

My Mom is celebrating her 74th birthday and asked for a lemon pound cake. In the past I've ordered out of state and have been more than pleased with the service and quality of the lemon pound cakes I've received. Unfortunately, in this post-Covid environment we live in, I wasn't afforded the out of state option and had to identity a local vendor to help in delivering on Mom's ask. The ask was simple - identify a bakery that specializes in the best lemon pound cakes ever -- as my mom certainly deserves it and so much more. I let the reviews be my guide and unfortunately in this instance the reviews didn't align with my experience. Here is a short recap. Let's start with quality and taste of the cakes - I could care less about kosher or certifications this and that all I wanted was a good ole fashioned lemon pound cake. The cake I ordered was dry and had hard crust around the edges which leads me to believe that it might not have been as fresh as it should have been or maybe that was just a well done feature of the cake. Who knows. Both my mom and dad just ended up eating the inside of the cake. I think I would have made out better with a box pound cake from Kroger. Ugh..I'm so very disappointed as I'm typing this. At any rate. I was also a bit surprised by the super small size of the cakes, which had the pound cakes been super moist, not hard around the edges, I would have had no problem in paying any price for the pound cake, but it wasn't. When I went to share feedback with the owner, she was less than accommodating and more defensive which to me is even more unacceptable. I am a big fan of supporting local businesses and I often go out of my way to do so. Unfortunately this one has some work to do in terms of customer service and quality.

Service is always super even when they have a full house. Prices were average for the menu.

it was so tasty. this place has a cool atmosphere. feels similar to a cafe in chicago i liked.

I ordered a poundcake for a friend who is a poundcake connoisseur. He loved it, said it was easily a 10 out of 10!!Helen's really delivered!

I really enjoyed the margarita pound cake I tried today. It was very moist. I meet the owner today and really enjoyed talking to her and wish her much success in her future.

This is by far the most scrumptious pound cake I have ever tasted within the course of my entire life! I had the Lemon Lovers and then got Margarita cake a few weeks later.

Is this the place on akard downtown dallas. Slice too small.

Delivers locally, which is a rarity! There's nothing like fresh baked, quickly delivered treats.

I'm not the biggest fan of sweets, but these cakes are on a whole new level! A must have if you're in Dallas!

You've got to try this cake!! She is a sweet lady & you will not be disappointed!!
