The male bartender and the hostess might be the most off putting people I’ve ever encountered. The most overrated restaurant I’ve been to in Dallas.

This was hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and I'll definitely to try some of the other menu items that caught my eye.

Tried Hillstone for the first time. We weren't able to make a reservation so we tried our luck as a walkin. We had an hour wait, but sat in the bar and had drinks and an appetizer, which we would have ordered anyway. The food was so good. We got the French dip and redfish. Atmosphere was so nice. Will be back soon.

The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance of cozy and vibrant—ideal for a work lunch or winding down with happy hour cocktails. The menu offers something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood to indulge or keep things lighter.

I went with the Kale and Pulled Chicken Salad, and it did not disappoint. Packed with fresh mint, herbs, and crunchy peanuts, it was flavorful, satisfying, and left me full without feeling sluggish. The spinach dip is another standout (I’ve been making a version at home for over 25 years, and theirs still wins me over every time!).

Service was exceptional—attentive and friendly without ever making us feel rushed. A spot I’ll definitely be returning to.

Negatively reviewed Hillstone in the covid era and they blocked me on FB. Figured it out today when I tried to look them up and couldn't. Checked on another browswer where I wasn't logged in - and what do you know. There it was. Thus, I was BLOCKED! What a great way to process life-long customers with subtle complaints... Just delete them from existing! lol. Dallas has a ton of Hillstone- esque restaurants these days and I will go out of my way to be a patron of them instead.

This place taught me greatness. This place absolutely turned me into a beast. All though I wasn't the best. N like a bad relationship with good sexs. It ended completely wrong n not apart of the plan. But it gave me knowledge. Power and made me strong willed, I know for a fact. Hillstone is a NFL factory that produces hall of famers. Rather your traded or cut or stay 20yrs. You leave with a mindset of better. Your around it, you can taste and see it. This the experience you want. The name alone puts your name in meaningful conversations. It was like going to school without paying for it.

The food and cocktails are always perfect. Sit at the bar for some of the best service in dallas. I am always impressed at what a great experience I have dining here.

Very good food but very little for what you pay. Way overpriced. For what you pay, you may as well go to Capital Grill where you have full class service and food.

We've eaten here many times and the food is always great. However, this past Saturday evening my steak was actually burnt. We requested new one and were told that they can't guarantee steaks over medium well to not come out charred. Their menu states that they can't guarantee steaks over medium well. (I have ordered steaks from many fine dining restaurants well done and have never had an issue.) We asked for the manager. Sydney was the manager who came to our table and she had an attitude from the minute she walked up. She did not apologize for the inconvenience and basically made us feel like we were a bother. As much as we like this place, we probably won't be going back. Oh and when they brought out the new steak it was under cooked to what I ordered. Very disappointing. Bottom line is we felt the manager, Sydney, handled this situation very poorly.

I don't give 5 stars often. But I couldn't resist. I drive past here often finally got a chance to visit.

Did not disappoint, food was great. Server, She was on point with wine recommendations paired it will with my burger and taste palate.

Companion medallions were great.

Will be a spot to to go .

What A Memorable Evening at Hillstone
From the moment we stepped into Hillstone we knew we were in for a treat. The atmosphere was casual yet elegant, the service impeccable, and the food simply divine.
While the old fashioned was a tad underwhelming (especially given its price), everything else exceeded our expectations. The appetizers, salads, and cheese bread were all delicious. My son declared the burger the best he's ever had, and my wife's rib-eye was cooked to absolute perfection. Even our picky 14-year-old son couldn't resist trying a bite and is already planning our return visit!
My filet practically melted in my mouth, and the key lime pie provided a perfect ending to our meal. Even the coffee was exceptional. Our server, Leila, was attentive and professional, ensuring we had a truly wonderful dining experience.
If you're looking for an unforgettable dinning experience in Dallas, look no further than Hillstone.
