Unfortunate experience tonight at a restaurant we were so excited to try. Want to start off by saying the oysters and the crab cake were wonderful, and that is the reason for an extra star, but everything went downhill after appetizers. My husband and I ordered the tomahawk - medium rare - to split, and added an order of the cream corn on the side. Our waitress let us know that the tomahawk also came with mashed potatoes. What was supposed to be a medium rare steak came out small, well done, and without potatoes. We asked our waitress where the side was, and she let us know that management has decided not to include the mashed potatoes with the tomahawk anymore, though the menu stated otherwise. For $135 for an entree, you would expect the steak to be cooked to your liking and served alongside whatever the menu says. Maybe this place just had a bad night, but it’s unfortunate that our first experience was such a poor one.
Can't be in NOLA? Craving authentic Cajun cuisine? Look no further. Upscale experience just like the historic restaurants of the French Quarter but in your back yard. Highly recommend!

Went to Jack & Harry's last weekend and it was good but not great. I got a classic martini with gin, it was decent but not the best I've ever had. Food was a 6.5 out of 10. Started with the crab cake beignets, very good and recommend, 8.3/10. Got the raw oysters, when we asked for crackers, not for me, they gave us little oyster crackers and not saltines, that was disappointing. I got the Dry aged NY strip it was cooked medium rare, like i asked, and tasted good. I would give it a 7.8/10. Sides were white truffle crawfish mac and cheese, good but very rich could only eat 3-4 bites, and rosemary carrots i really enjoyed. No room for dessert. Overall experience was good. Service was good. Atmosphere was good. Be ready to spend money. I would go back but not often.

Was a great restaurant, but noticed recently the food quality / menu options have come down significantly. Similar to DL Mack’s / Hudson House, in that they initially create a great restaurant, but quality slips when Vandalay focuses on their next project.

I typically never write reviews, however me and my husband were regulars here and they recently updated their menu. I used to crave the redfish, as it was one of the best things on the menu. As of this week, they have updated the recipe where the redfish that was previously very flavorful and come in a bed of sauce with crab beignets, is now very dry and comes with plain salty rice. I am very disappointed as dining here is normally something we look forward to.

Had the pleasure of dining here. Our server Eric was extremely knowledgeable and had great recommendations for the whole experience. We tried the steak tartar savory and not too heavy. The steak frites were everything we thought it would be just way too many French fries and lastly ended with fosters cheesecake which is an absolute must.

The barbecue shrimp was really fantastic. I loved it. The house salad was really boring, but it might be because I ordered the blue cheese dressing and it may just be a manner of that not being very good or to my taste anyway. The atmosphere is very pretty but I absolutely hate how damn noisy it is. Every one of us at my table we’re complaining because we basically have to yell throughout the entire meal and so did everybody which is why it’s so noisy. They had a carpet in there, which was at least an attempt, but they need to do something to make that Less frantic atmosphere- just too much.
I had the French martini and that was really good also. I was with people who ate steaks. They seem to really like them. I don’t eat meat. There’s not a ton of options for people who don’t but I’d get this another try cause I’d love the shrimp but God it’s so noisy. I can’t stand that.
Vegetarian options: I don’t eat meat, but I do eat seafood. I did not consider for a steakhouse out there with a lot of seafood options. They were oyster options and some shrimp options but I think I’d love to see more.

Went with a group of 6 Saturday night for a birthday we had an absolute blast! The martinis are quick and cold, our NY strip was perfectly cooked I will say the redfish was very saucy but still delicious the birthday girl had mussels and she loved them. We also enjoyed their amazing banana fosters although I prefer the ice cream. Tartar was a strong in vinegar but still good. Our server Jessena was top notch.
