Yet another Open Table seating issue. Arrived on time for our 6:30pm reservation, and they wanted to seat us a bar, versus a table which there were open tables available. When I told them that we want a table. This is why we made the reservation, the hostess then asked us to wait. After a few minutes, says, " I have a small table available", and takes us to a 2 top, in the middle of the restaurant. The couple who arrived at the same time we did, did not have a reservation and were seated at a far better table along the wall away from the main traffic area, where we were seated.

Cute intimate spot for date night. Easy to find and parking in front of building and the parking garage on side of building.I visited on a busy night but staff was attentive and checked on my table often. Personally, cocktails could have been stronger. Food was great there was no long wait to be served.

We Love Jia so much!! The staff knows us after a few trips and they always are so friendly and happy! Amazing food and great ambiance! Gotta try to the sushi sushimi combo and the lichi martini!

Imagine walking into an “Asian lounge” on a Friday night in February and there's a live musician playing guitar and singing “under the boardwalk” with his microphone about 10x louder than it should be for the small venue. Well, that really happened at Jia. The music was off theme and way too loud. The music was a better fit for a 40 year high school reunion. They have sushi but this is not a sushi place! Couldn't get a last minute reservation elsewhere so we tried this place for sushi. Nope. Very basic, probably not made in-house. If it was, it was made earlier in the day. Might be good for mid grade Chinese food but this is not a place for a finer dining experience. And the “lounge” vibe is nonexistent.

We had a reservation but when we arrived, they told us it would be a 30 to 40 minute wait. They seemed very confused and unorganized. Other people with reservations were waiting long periods also. We have been here (or gotten take out) many times. The food is good but the restaurant just seems to be run poorly.

Wonderful experience! Not in-China "authentic" but amazing nonetheless. Appetizers were the peppers and wontons. Wontons were incredible! House spicy sauce on side (off-menu item) is a must for dipping and accent. Peppers were "good+". We didn't hit a single hot one (it's supposed to be spice roulette). Dragon and Phoenix was a very good plate, Phoenix shrimp was my favorite food of the evening. Spicy pork with garlic sauce was very good, as was the beef. The virgin sushi roll (so called for being riceless and wrapped in cucumber shaving) was delicious BUT falls apart completely if you try to bite from the very-large slices, forcing you to eat it in one bite like a thin hockey puck to the mouth. We didn't do dessert, but we did do drinks. Mai Tai is off-menu and great! Lychee martini is A+, just be prepared for a lot of syrup in it. Tokyo Mule was very regrettable. Lemon Drop martini was very bitter (I didn't try that one directly, but the other 3 all did). 2.5 hours and $220 (before tip, for 4 ppl) later, my palette was very satisfied but I felt like I still needed dinner. It did not feel filling at all, despite how much food I'd had. 9/10 will definitely go back.Oh and the atmosphere is incredible. They even had a solo musician playing, and he was great - playing multiple instruments, vocals, and personality. Best of all he kept the volume low so you could hear him clearly but still have a normal table conversation (and we were the corner table, which was closest to him)!P.S. Jia is my wife's "generational" name (first half of "given" name in Chinese culture), so it felt extra-special! Hence the posing with the signs.Parking: Reserved by door for restaurant.

We came here for the very first time with family and all we can say is, “WOW!” The staff is so kind and friendly! They were super fast and attentive while also being kind. We had no idea that you had to have reservations to eat here, but we lucked out and came at the perfect time. The staff quickly cleaned off a table to make room for us (take notice that there were five of us and this was a Saturday night). The food was incredible! I highly recommend the chicken egg rolls and orange peel chicken! The fried rice was amazing as well. That along with a glass of rose made for perfection! This would be a perfect little place for a date night or small celebration. I would not typically do a review if we were just going out to dinner, but this place was so wonderful, how could I not?!?

Server was friendly but only had one guy running the entire downstairs, excluding the bar. Main dishes were room temperature - felt like they had been sitting out for 10 minutes before they served. Owner says ingredients are fresh and high quality but my girlfriend and I both felt sick for a few days after eating here. Place is overpriced and not worth coming back to. As someone who's spent a lot of time in Asian cuisine and in large cities such a New York City, this food is not comparable at all. We tried the hot and sour soup, crab ragoons, and three main dishes (beef, veggie, and chicken). They were all a miss. Not to mention they have a health score of 80 and ten violations

Food was pretty dreadful. Out of the 5 of us who dined, we had 4 barely edible dishes, and 3 that were so bad we could not eat them. 2 of us diners felt sick after the meal. Ambiance was poor, service pretty bleak. Yet place ws busy. I guess the word is not out yet. This is the worst meal I've had in Dallas in 10 years. I'm adding to my review since I don't see another way to respond to the restaurants comment.. we ate there on 12/20/22, and we had no reservation. Turns out 3 of us felt bad after the meal and one of us threw up. You guys can deflect all you want, but your food is not only terrible, but a health hazard. I'd look into what's going on in that kitchen if I was the owner, rather than spending your time on yelp crying "fake review". And yes - I made 10 reviews in one night since the nausea and stomach pain your food caused kept me up till 2 in the morning. Figured I'd focus on something other than how crappy your food made me feel.

This place's menu 1 side has Chinese food and the other side has Japanese food. We only tried the Chinese food, it was okay, the mapo tofu was good. The menu price is more expensive than what you typically see at other Chinese restaurants due to location.

This place isn't serious. One of the most expensive dishes on the menu is the crispy duck, which is also listed as a "specialty" of the house. It comes with slivered scallions and a dish of hoisin sauce, as well as the usual pancakes for Peking Duck (the waitress calls them tortillas). But this is just regular deep-fried duck pieces, and the evocation of Peking Duck is only that. Not the wonderful duck skin pieces with perfect little pancakes and hoisin sauce served in other places. All but a few pieces of the duck here have bones in them, as this is a section of duck which has been chopped with a cleaver like a lot of Chinese poultry. BUT WAIT A MINUTE - you can't make a package of duck, scallion and hoisin sauce inside a pancake IF THERE ARE BONES IN THE DUCK. This is a joke. After finding enough boneless pieces to make a couple of pancakes worth, it was back to just eating the crispy duck and maybe dipping the pieces into the hoisin or maybe the dish of hot sauce which was also provided. When I was asked how everything was, I asked if it wasn't unusual for duck pancakes to be assembled with duck pieces having bones inside. The waitress actually said "O, sorry, I forgot to tell you there were bones in this dish." PULLEASE. I was only expecting crispy duck, not this very weird pretend dish which made no sense. Wontons in hot oil were okay, although these were lying flat on a plate instead of being served in a bowl with hot oil. And an unordered "side" of plain rice was brought, after I turned down the offer of rice with the duck. Not a great first impression of a Chinese restaurant.

My wife and I were in the area and dropped in for supper. We both had the delicious hot and sour soup. She had the Singapore noodles and very much enjoyed it. I had the pork with hot garlic sauce. It was superb.Parking: It was easy to park and the area is safe to walk.

I went for a GNO and sat upstairs. They had live music and he was great. The food and staff was amazing and very accommodating. They actually have parking right out front, which I didn't know when I was parking. Everyone was so welcoming and polite. I ended up having a lot of leftover and warmed up my cashew chicken the next day... phenomenal!

Very good Chinese food. Very authentic, especially when you consider the fact that it is in the Park Cities not Plano or Richardson. My wife and I both loved it. Her office is walking distance so I'm sure we will be back.
