Food is good business is slow and the portions are small did I say the food was good cause it was great 🤷🏾‍♀️

I went today and really enjoyed it. The place was very clean, and the customer service was excellent. Chef Kendall was working the register—such a kind and welcoming person.

I had the chicken and dressing with cabbage and sweet potatoes—everything was good. My daughter had the catfish with collard greens and mac & cheese, and she like it. We’ll definitely be back!

I ordered the veggie plate Mac and cheese, pinto beans, collard greens, and sweet yams best soul food from a restaurant. Service was excellent he was so friendly. I ordered to go and set with some very nice people. Overall the food was, service and atmosphere was 5 star.

Need white meat for the chicken and dressing, not only Dark meat

The meal was delicious. Fresh, fast, and friendly service. Music was a vibe. The flavors were clean and well developed. Absolutely will be returning.

Found this restaurant just browsing social media because my husband and I wanted some soul food. Absolutely delicious. I had the rotisserie chicken dressing, Mac n cheese and corn bread, my husband had the fish, okra and salad. Wasn't expecting it to be as great as it was being that out was very inexpensive. We will be returning.

Dude I ain’t going to many places on my day off???? Food ain’t everything especially if you got to wait a long time to get it???? Your online game is below average at best what’s wrong with cash??? So do most men wake up??? I’m not standing in line 4know minutes??? Heard your food was great??? You have a major problem I don’t work there and you ain’t paying me so figure out???? You will never see me came up there to wait over an hour yo food I can get anywhere????? Not understanding your concept look at your review?????? Tell me what you don’t see👀

Food was amazing, I came for the oxtails but today they were not serving any so I got the rotisserie chicken and dressing, collards and mac and cheese for the 2 sides....Bussin Bussin👌🏽

Run, do not walk, to Kendall Karsen's! My classmate Kevin Winston has out done himself. Service was great and the food was even better. I had grilled fish with creamed spinach and potatoes. My husband had the pot roast either greens and potatoes. It's ALL good. Y'all better get over here, and come hungry

Was great meeting Mr. Kendall I recommend anybody this restaurant go get it ,good comfort soul food!

This would be a 5, HOWEVER, on at least 4 occasions I have decided “dang i want a chicken and dressing plate from kendall karsens” I drive up there on a day they are supposed to be open just to find out they are closed.

Yesterday, Sunday 11/17 I checked Google which stated you were open, I called and got a busy signal I figured the phone might just be off the hook, anywho, I drove from Lake Highlands to oakcliff only to be met with a last minute hand written sign on the door stating you were closed for the day to give a full day of worship and praise to God.

While I completely understand, I do wish there was better communication before I had wasted my time and gas, maybe a voicemail instead of a busy signal telling is you were closed, maybe updating the google page, maybe posting it on fb. As I was leaving I saw another woman walk ip to the door and turn back around after seeing the sign, its just not good customer service

Food and customer service were great. Pricing was very decent for portions. The outside atmosphere was a slight turnoff as some of the people hanging around the door almost turned us away. All and all a great time otherwise.
