About La Calle Doce

La Calle Doce is a popular Mexican restaurant set in a beautifully maintained old house that offers a cozy, hacienda-like ambiance. The restaurant is well-loved for its strong yet enjoyable margaritas and highly recommended Al Pastor dish. Guests often enjoy the seafood options, including shrimp or octopus cocktail and ceviche, which are delicious and available in various sizes. The ceviche, chips, and salsa received praise for their taste, and the fish dishes, especially the Mahi Mahi tacos, are a favorite among visitors. The attentive and quick service, with courteous staff, enhances the dining experience, and reservations can be made easily, even from far away. The lively music and peaceful vibe make it a great place for group gatherings and celebrations, with plenty of seating both inside and outside, and a small parking lot nearby. Whether dining in or ordering carry out, the quality of food and service remains consistently good. Visitors also enjoy refreshing drinks like Piña Colada and skinny margarita, making La Calle Doce a memorable spot for lunch or dinner.

La Calle Doce is a gem! We went for Friday lunch and loved everything—the cozy, beautifully maintained old house, peaceful vibe, and excellent service. I had the lunch special with fish soup and a ceviche tostada, and my husband had the salmon salad. Both were incredible, and the spicy ranch waters were a fun bonus. Some of the best food I’ve had in Dallas—can’t wait to go back!

Had lunch with my family on Friday 4/18/2025 and honestly. The meal felt rushed and plates were taken away very quickly, at the same time the food isn’t what it use to be. I went there 8 years ago and yes things change, but the value for the food you get is no longer there. We will not be returning.

Do not order the Lenten special. The food is prepared ahead of time. It is not made fresh. It was lukewarm. The bread pudding was disgusting. We were so disappointed as we love this restaurant and the food is always good. The fish croquette was awful.
