Dinner was delicious. We had the short rib pasta and the bolognese (our favorite). Bread pudding desert was a great finale. They have live piano music on Fri and Sat. Paco, our server, was friendly and excellent so you will be in good company if you get him. Restaurant is decorated nicely and tables were spaced appropriately. If you love Italian, you will be happy you came here.

I have so many wonderful things to say about Stella! This is a family owned joint and is run by great people! Customer service has been becoming non-existent in Dallas but whenever we go to Stella, from start to finish the staff and gm make you feel welcomed! This is definitely a gem in Dallas and I am glad more people have become aware of it!The bistecca was amazing, lobster agnolotti, and papardelle! This place is a 10/10, highly recommend.

I chose this location for a birthday dinner after seeing a really great review on tiktok. It did not disappoint. When reached the entrance to the restaurant we were greeted by a man who was speaking Italian and holding the door open for us. After providing reservation details to the hostess, we were promptly seated by the same guy. He led us to our table and pulled out each of our chairs for us...such a gentleman, LOVED that! He gave us the menus and asked a few questions. He said a few more things in Italian that I didn't understand, but I didn't mind. The ambience was out of this world! I was lucky enough to have had my birthday on the same day they had WT Greer performing live in the restaurant. I was mesmerized by him and found myself closing my eyes several times and being swept away by his voice. One thing to note is the pasta is homemade which for us Americans is a different texture than the commercial pasta we're used to. For each pasta dish we ordered we found the pasta was much thicker than we were used to. Very different for us, but the flavors were delicious! I ordered the lobster ravioli and the gnocchi. That lobster filling was TOP TIER! The flavors of my mushroom gnocchi were so good! My friends ordered a filet and the short rib pasta. Both of them raved about how tender and how well the meat was seasoned. There was a very odd moment where a young guy came buy to box up the leftovers and we very clearly stated that I wanted to box up ALL of my food, but my friends did not. When he came back with my bag I checked it and realized he threw out my remaining lobster ravioli. I was quite disturbed because I did say that I wanted to take EVERYTHING and also...that was a $55 dish. Why would the assumption be that I wanted to throw out half of it?! I called him back to our table and informed him of his error. He then apologized and told me he would have the kitchen remake the same quantity of ravioli that he threw out. That was fine, but also strange because why not just remake the whole dish for your error? Maybe because it was an expensive dish...I'm not sure. He ended up bringing me a partial order and we moved on to dessert. They brought out a slice of cake to me after we finished dinner that had a candle on it that said Happy Birthday. The cake was very dense and lacked moisture, I won't lie, but I appreciated the gesture. My friends ordered the bread pudding and could not stop raving about it so I'm assuming that was delicious!Overall, the flavors, the service(for the most part), the voice of WT Greer made this a wonderful experience!

Absolutely delicious. Such a gem in the Arts District! Do not wait until you have a show scheduled to visit La Stella, it is absolutely phenomenal. The whole branzino and the gnocchi are not to be missed! Amanda and Moody were our services and were 10/10!
