Maybe give them some time to iron out a few kinks. Ask what they’re out of before reviewing the menu- they were out of a 1/3 of everything we wanted. The okonomyiaki was raw- literally a gooey raw egg (it’s supposed to be a pancake/omelette consistency). The kimchi carbonara was moderately spicy but tasted neither like kimchi nor carbonara. Drinks were hit or miss. In their defense, I’m a tiki snob, and I would love for Dallas to have a l tiki bar that I can be proud of. I’ll keep an eye on their progress but I won’t be back until I see the rum brands listed on their menu. And multiple photos of fully cooked okonomyiaki.
Staff was great.

Don't be mislead by the location in a bookstore cafe, this is a high-quality restaurant with real impressive ideas and flavors. Dinner & cocktails in the evening are so classy. Try the lumpia and the lengua buns

Coffeeshop by day. Tiki bar by night. This place does NOT disappoint. The lumpia was amazing and the iguana party drink SLAPS. I will be visiting multiple times to sample the entire menu. Thank you La Casita people for bringing more tiki to dfw.

Food was absolutely amazing, the kimchi carbonara was truly standout. The tartare was great, and I never thought I would be crushing shrimp heads stuffed with Laotian sausage in a used book store.
The drinks are also correct and more importantly fantastic. Worth a trip just for the drinks and food, but it's a bonus to remember to support your local half price books.

It’s a coffee bar too. It’s nice to have tiki cocktails with outdoor seating when the evening is nice. Really enjoyed everything I had.
