“Found this lovely place via Google search, discovered unique coffee shops. Very small place, but the food was out of this world—best migas I’ve ever had. The coffee was amazing, and the desserts are to die for. Watch your wallet as you’ll walk out with a bag full of goodies (totally worth it). Had a chance to meet Chef Taco (yes, his nickname) and hear their story. Amazing place and people with a soul for food—no wonder this place has been around for 23 years.“

“I had an outstanding experience at Ocho Latin Cuisine. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The service was exceptional—prompt, professional, and friendly throughout our visit. The food was equally impressive. Every dish was full of authentic flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu offers a fantastic variety that truly showcases the richness of Latin cuisine. Whether you're coming for a casual lunch or a special dinner, Ocho Latin Cuisine delivers a top-notch experience in both food and service. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable and delicious dining experience!“

“Great food at the new location at Cypress Waters. Terrific hospitality- we enjoyed meeting Miriam herself as she came to greet us. Food is mild but flavorful. My favorite is the pork belly taco I got on the sampler plate. My husband enjoyed the short rib tacos as well. Ample portions as well.“
“Ok. New place to us. Tienda y Restaurante Latino. Josie had tortilla soup and I had Arroz Mixto, kind of a latin take on fried rice with chicken, beef, shrimp and a fish fillet. I thought I tasted soy sauce but the owner said there wasn't. But it had have an oriental taste. The veggies are carrots, corn and onion with the addition of bell peppers and zucchini. The tortilla soup had more of a red broth like pazole or menudo than the usual chicken broth. It also had more actual chicken than Josie was expecting. Portions were such that we will both have another meal from it, though I COULD have eaten all of mine if I stuffed myself. Overall, much better than I thought when we first looked over the menu. Will definitely put this on our list of places to return to.“

“A visit from Utah, and visiting Dallas for the first time to celebrate Valentine’s Day, we chose for dinner this place. Definitely, the atmosphere was super lovely, and the service was acceptable. To be honest, given the price of the dishes, I expected an amazing culinary experience, and it wasn’t quite that, although the food wasn’t bad at all. The only thing I can truly highlight is the drinks and cocktails service—I could see how my friends enjoyed themselves and couldn’t stop tasting different kinds of beverages, all with a show of colors, smoke, and even light displays. I appreciated the manager visiting our table to take care of every detail. I would definitely return.“

“I have eaten pupusas and roast beef here and everything is very good. The scrambled chicharrón and cheese pupusas are very delicious. The roast meat is very soft. They have flavored waters to drink and I tried the chia one, very delicious too, the flavor is very similar to hibiscus.
It is highly recommended to go to eat here.“

“I don't know why this place only has 4-stars on google reviews! It should absolutely have FIVE STARS! The food is soooo tasty. The breads, empanadas, shredded beef, arepas and cachapas and so much more, so tasty! I order this place Uber Eats often. Good price, great portion size.“

“We had a great experience at el Colibrí! From the moment we sat down, the chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful, a perfect start to our meal.
My son ordered the gorditas with rice and beans and absolutely loved them. My husband and I shared the molcajete with carne asada—it came loaded with fajita, grilled chicken breast, sausage, nopales, grilled onions and bell peppers smothered in great tasting salsa. Every bite was delicious.
The rice had amazing fresh flavor, the meats were cooked perfectly with a nice crisp, and the handmade corn tortillas were the best we’ve had in a while.
Overall everything tasted authentic and full of flavor. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to.“

“My family was out for a day of fun in Dallas. When it was time for lunch we asked our kids what they wanted to eat. They said ice cream. We found Josie’s and it seemed like the perfect compromise. My wife and 4 year old split a cheese burger, my 7 year old got nachos, I had a beef torta, and my kids had an ice cream cone apiece. I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn’t look fancy but the food is good, the portions are generous and the staff were friendly, even when my 7 year old mistook the jars of Agua Fresca for ice cream and said “the ice cream here is gross.” If you’re in the area and hungry, it’s definitely worth a stop.“

“I’d walked by this place a few times but had never been in. Very nice place for a date night of GNO. Service was great and everyone was on top of it. Sat in a booth and they had a QR code to order to our table, pay via Apple Pay, and split between multiple parties. So easy and convenient too!“

“I was here yesterday 8/16/24. It was my first time I wanted something light for lunch and this came up. I was happy to see a Latino restaurant in downtown Dallas. I ordered the two empanadas special for lunch. I ordered a beef steak I believe and another type of meat kale salad, but I had to return it because it had brown kale leaves going bad. Be careful so I replaced it with cilantro rice it was delicious a bit hot but yummy, when I tasted the empanadas I couldn’t really tell the difference the flavors from each one. I was expecting them both to be different because of the meat and the spices they use. I enjoy the spicy salsa versus chimichurri. Chimichurri was a bit sick for me. I was expecting it to be a little bit oily. I had the hibiscus water, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I would definitely come back hibiscus water, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I would definitely come back and get one empanada for a light snack if I’m in the area. I do have to say please fix your AC because it was too hot yesterday and I feel for the workers in the back. I hope they did have an AC. Blessings“
