Nice restaurant in a gentrifying neighborhood. Food was prepared with care and presented similarly. The pacing was leisurely, which is our preference although our last course took a bit longer than expected. Again the food was very nice but I wouldn't describe it as spectacular. I was a little surprised by the automatic 20% gratuity for a table of two. Not that the service did not deserve it, but, in my experience higher end restaurants do better by leaving it to the discretion...
Oh wow, the food is SO good! Easily one of the best meals I have ever head. The salumi is a must have. The casoncelli and branzino were fantastic. The dessert had a mixture of tomato and blueberry and in my head should not have worked but not only did it work it was mind blowingly good! Lucia is hard to get a reservation but definitely worth it. They were another restaurant who went out of their way to care about my allergy. I would highly recommend!!!
The service alone was enough to bring me back. I felt so welcome and comfortable here. Many times at an acclaimed restaurant you get the sense that you’re being sized up by the staff, but we felt right at home here. Our server was incredibly kind and the owner came by to chit chat with us. They were extremely attentive but not overbearing through the evening.
