That was the best Kung Pao I ever had; chicken, bell pepper, peanuts, red peppers. Savory, a little zing, and it was served so hot. And it was a lot of chicken, too. The hot and sour soup was fantastic as well. Got a new favorite lunch spot on my work days!

I finally tried this restaurant. It's very close to my house but I just never got the chance until now.The food service is very good and it has very good outdoor seating but sadly the food is not very authentic. We ordered mala chicken that was supposed to have sichuan pepper corns. I could not detect any nor could I see any in the food.If you like Americanized Chinese it isn't bad. In fact it is good. The food is fresh and good flavored and the place very clean. I just prefer the more authentic places in Richardson and Plano.

Went for lunch and shared crispy chicken and General Tso’s chicken. It came with soup and rice and all was great! We hadn’t come in for the longest time because we saw the reviews, and boy have we been missing out! The chicken was delicious - fresh and great flavor. The prices are right. Clean and pretty ambiance… we will be coming back!

I’m not sure how this place isn’t better rated. I went for lunch and they have great meals at a good price. The spicy chicken was great, service was on point and a very nice place over all. I have only been once and really liked it but I plan on going back and checking out their dinner. They also have great happy hour options!

We’ve been several times and love their food. Like a modern take on the original. The lunch and Happy Hour specials great. My 4yo loves their chicken fried rice. Everyone who works there is super nice. One of our fave spots.I think if they bring in more families with kids, and add some Tollway/Beltline business for weekday lunch.. they’ll become a neighborhood institution.

We are very happy that we visited this place for a second time! We were not that impressed when we tried this place the first week it was open but decided to give it another chance. General Tao’s chicken and the brussel sprouts were our favorites.

Hands down the best General Tsos Chicken we’ve ever had. It’s crispy and juicy and has so much flavor. This is our 4th time here and we’ve tried different things each time. Everything has been delicious. From the hot and sour soup, egg flower soup, Mongolian beef, lo Mein, dumplings, wontons, we’ve tried it all and nothing disappointed. This is one of our go tos.

We are very picky about our Chinese food and this place exceeded every expectation in the group. The food is delicious and everyone here is nice. This will be our new go to.

The food is excellent, but the way the restaurant is setup, it’s HOT inside.

The food was not good. We could not eat hardly any of it. Our waiter didn't get our order right. This is the 2nd time we have tried this restaurant and we will not be going back.

My wife and I were driving by and decided to stop and try the food. Big mistake. We simply could not eat what we were served as the meals just didn’t taste good. To their credit, the service was good but the restaurant was pretty much empty during dinner time. I can see why. If you’re looking for a pleasant dining experience, go elsewhere.

First time at Mandarin and it was just ok. The server was nice and the restaurant was clean but even to get to the restroom in the back of the place is odd, as in you have to squeeze between chairs to get by. Had the pan fried dumplings and those were really good, best thing we had. Also had Mongolian Beef and it was so disappointing. It was a huge amount of green onions with maybe 4 ounces of beef tossed in, as in that's it, just a mound of green onions with very little beef. Probably not going to go back.

Had a great dinner at Mandarin. Our server was very attentive and helpful and the food was delicious. I had been hesitant to try it because the meals are double the price of our usual Chinese restaurant but the servings were huge! I could easily get 3 meals out of the Mu Shu pork I ordered. The sesame chicken we ordered was also delicious! All white meat with a tasty, crispy coating. The lychee martini was also delicious.
