Service was pretty bad. Server shared at the end it was her first night but it didnt seem like anyone was training her so who knows. Was never actually asked if we wanted a drink. Had to ask. Had to ask to refill waters as well. Server didnt write down our order and forgot a dish. Didnt arrive until we were done the rest of the food so that was disappointing. She never did own the mistake or apologize for it. Wasnt super busy but it felt as though as soon as we finished our last bite we were presented the bill. Just really odd timing. Food was just okay. Expensive for the BBQ menu for the quanitity you recieve. Miso BBQ was the highlight. Takoyaki was bland, kimchi was underwhelming, shishitos were pretty good and fried rice was also good. Cant see us going back with so many other options available but was worth trying.
The traditional Omakase has an excellent choice of meats and shrimp. My favorite was the pork belly and miso skirt steak. The sake flight was great, helped us choose the right one for each person in the party. So was the service, very friendly and helpful.
My girlfriend and I came to Manpuku for her birthday dinner. The food was genuinely great, but the overall experience was ruined for us. We had a reservation, arrived on time, and were seated. A few minutes later, a homeless man walked in and the staff seated him directly next to me. They then began serving him a large amount of complimentary food. I understand wanting to help someone in need, but after spending over $200 for a birthday dinner, the seating decision and how it was handled made my girlfriend extremely uncomfortable for most of the meal and completely threw off the night. Great food, but the experience was not what we expected for the price and occasion, and we would not return.
Great service and the food was delicious. Highly recommend it to everyone. It was definitely worth the visit and the experience. Regards, Mike
My wife and myself had not been to the Greenville Ave area of Dallas in quite some time so we were looking forward to our dinner reservation at Manpuku. What a find this restaurant was! We both raved over the taste of the food as we were in familiar with this type of cuisine. I definitely recommend the Pork Gyoza Dumplings and the Miso Skirt Steak. We will return to this eatery in the future! Tom
Great food! It is worth upgrading to the premium cuts, some of the cheaper ones were a bit tough

Wife and I had the premium omakase. I think the meat was of good quality, but the marinate was too salty and overpowering.

We celebrated our anniversary at Manpuku and tried the Premium Yakiniku Omakase — it was phenomenal. Every course felt thoughtful and beautifully balanced, with melt-in-your-mouth cuts of wagyu, perfectly marinated bites, and attentive pacing that let us savor each dish. The service was warm and celebratory without being overbearing, and the whole experience felt elevated yet cozy — perfect for a special night out. Highly recommend for anyone who loves Japanese BBQ done with care and finesse.
10 for 10, strongly recommend. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was classy, and our server Sarah was perfect. She took time to explain everything on the menu and ensured that my water glass was never empty. We will certainly be back.
Service was great. The gentleman that was helping us was wonderful and we enjoyed the food as well.

The food was ok but the service is terrible. For a place where you ‘ll be making the food they took forever to bring out our plates. Had to flag down a server twice to fill our water. If they don't get more servers this place will not last, which is sad because the food was pretty good.
