Well, we went for mother's day . Food was very tasty, I ordered the crab cakes as my entree, wife ordered lemon caperd chicken, others ordered pistachio crusted salmon. Food comes out as 3 course menu. So appetizer comes out 1st for every appetizer ordered. Then soup or salad , then ur entree. Cute place entire staff helps each other. Entree was a bit slow at getting to our table, other than that it, over all experience was a 4.5
Nice place to take ur significant partner on a date night or special day. Check posted menu for pricing.

Valentine’s Day dinner here was extremely disappointing.

First, there is essentially no parking — and this is Dallas, so plan accordingly. The restaurant was running significantly behind schedule and largely ignored the guests waiting for tables; no one even offered the simple courtesy of seating people at the bar while they waited.

Service felt disorganized. They were already out of 1 of the 3 appetizers, and when my partner asked about vegetarian meal options — despite us calling ahead to confirm vegetarian availability — the waiter said he “would have to check” whether they had anything suitable. Later, they were also out of 1 of the 4 entrées, yet made no effort to offer a substitute, price adjustment, or even a complimentary dessert. My cocktail was never refilled, and at one point a diner at the neighboring table had to borrow silverware from another table because none was provided.

After seeing how the evening was unfolding, we decided to leave after finishing our first cocktail rather than continue the experience.

We had visited previously and remembered the food being good, but the same organizational problems were present then as well. Given the repeated issues — especially on a major dining night like Valentine’s Day — we won’t be returning.

Busboy snatched appetizer before completed. Steak Frittes - ridiculously chewy. Not tender. Hard to cut, even with a steak knife. Awful. Ordered dessert and brandy old fashioned. No brandy. OK, ordered bourbon old fashioned to have with dessert. Dessert showed up. We waited for the drinks. Waitress was even concerned that we weren't eating dessert. Took 20 minutes for drinks. Old fashioned without cherries. Who does that? Really disappointed for a meal over $220. Probably not returning any time soon.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at McRae’s on a Saturday night. We arrived just a few minutes after they opened at 4:30pm to avoid the rush, and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We were greeted immediately, seated right away, and our drinks and appetizers came out fast.
We started with a bottle of wine and their famous Reuben fries. I meant to take a photo, but we were too busy enjoying how incredible they were. Trust me, they’re a must‑try. For our entrée, we shared the chicken‑fried venison with roasted beets, goat cheese, and pine nuts. Absolutely delicious. We finished with the flourless espresso chocolate cake, and wow… the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal.
The ambiance is something special, rare collectibles, original artwork, and a cozy, elegant vibe that makes the whole experience feel unique. It’s the perfect spot for a date night: upscale without being pretentious, and surprisingly affordable for the quality you get.
The manager and staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. We can’t wait to come back and try their brunch.

I’ve had their steak and pizza, I cannot say either one really stood out to me but it was enjoyable. Really you’re paying for the ambience of New York Manhattan style restaurant.

I got the apple Chicken Salad & Brussels. The salad was just what I was looking for! Not too heavy and the vinaigrette dressing was perfect on top. I'm not a huge brussel sprout fan, but theirs with a side of balsamic vinegar has turned me into a fan! They were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. The vibes of the restaurant were not what you would expect from the outside 10/10!

Great neighborhood place with friendly and attentive service.
We arrived without a reservation just as the last walk-in table had been taken. I figured no problem and went to have a quick drink at the bar. Meanwhile the host was able to identify another table that had come available.
Everyone was so kind and helpful and supper was great. Yes, I’ll make a reservation next time. Cheers!
