Mercat Bistro is just about my favorite dining experience for after-church brunch on Sunday. It truly reminds my husband and I of enjoying a fine restaurant in Paris. Our favorite menu item is the French Dip -- best I've ever had -- and the appetizer of ricotta cheese and honey. The service is excellent, the atmosphere in the main restaurant is so beautifully Parisian and elegant, and the food is amazing. Really have not found any other restaurant in big, beautiful Dallas...

Took my grandma here for brunch on her last day on town and we all loved it! My husband and I come here often so knew it would please everyone. The food, as always, was outstanding. Support staff is always on point. Service was a bit slow this go around, but friendly and we were just having a good time so no worries there. But the host was out of this world! Service could be improved with better communication. While I appreciated the coffee refill, the waitress reached over my plate while I was eating and talking, which caused a bit of hot coffee to splash. It would have been more courteous to ask me to move my mug closer or to say ‘pardon my reach.' A little retraining on communication and table manners could make the experience more pleasant and avoid hot coffee from splashing
