Mexicali Restaurant

Stopped by for lunch in this small neighborhood restaurant. We ordered a bowl of queso a very big bowl of liquid yellow, not my favorite too runny but favors okay. They have an amazing lunch menu with most items $6.99 not that price matters in what we order but great prices for the lunch menu. We got the enchiladas and beef taco with rice. Great prices for a nice , quick take out or eat in TexMex restaurant. Tacos, enchiladas and quacamole is very good. Margaritas and beer always great prices, all day. Love their warm chips and tasty salsa. It's not fancy, but I have been going to Mexicali since it was located in the Casa View Shopping Center, 30 years ago. Mother in law suggested this place when we came to visit her. Portions were huge!!!! And I mean huge! We had at least two meals that we couldn’t finish so we took home. The fresh made churros with cajeta, to die for lol. The waiter was amazing, attentive, informative and respectful. This place is well hidden unless you stumble upon it, you’ll find.
