Micheladas La Bajada is a hidden gem and a fun, casual spot with a lively atmosphere. The decor is simple but lively, and it is a great place to hangout. The customer service is excellent, with friendly staff. The place is clean and spacious inside. You order at the counter and choose your own table.
The menu is very small, which allows for perfected recipes. The food is delicious and everything is fresh and seasoned perfectly. Many call these the best tacos in Dallas, period. The street tacos are good, greasy, and hot, coming out surprisingly fast. Options include the Trompo Special (10 tacos for $17), steak fajita tacos, barbacoa tacos, and camarón tostadas. The tacos come with grilled onions, tiny potatoes, cilantro, limes, grilled Serranos, and delicious green and red salsas. The Michelada is the star of the restaurant, considered the best in Dallas. It comes in a big, reusable plastic bottle for takeout, full of flavor and ice. The Michelada Preparada also comes with a separate container of well-seasoned shrimp and cucumber. They have very reasonable prices, with buckets of beer for $25 and individual beers for $5.
There is live music on weekends, including Friday night and Sunday evening, which is loud but so much fun. Limited parking is available, but it is worth the visit.
