Mijas Taqueria - Lake Highlands

I've been here before and usually the service is good I usually place my order to go so that way when I pull up everything is expedited. Today I was a little annoyed because I placed the order on the phone like I usually do I asked the lady how long it would be and she said 10 minutes when I came in after 15 minutes my food was not done and the lady seemed to be annoyed by me asking to cancel if it wasn't done but I work in a sensitive position so I don't have time to wait Hence why I called in. Hopefully when I place a order in the future they can be more timely as normally the food is decent but it was such a waste to call in and travel only to be told to wait with a attitude smh. Maybe in the future I'll try again but until then. Idk.

The place is very spacious with good space. And the attention was good.

This time we ordered takeout, and we ate the food at home. They were steamed tacos, and trompo tacos.

The food is good, and has good seasoning.
I recommend this place.

This is the BEST PLACE IN LAKE HIGHLANDS!!! I eat here at minimum 2 times a week!!! Taco Tuesday’s $1.25 on corn OMG!!! My favorite is the FLAUTAS DINNER!!! Staff is great food is FANTASTIC AND VERY AFFORDABLE!!! Don’t drive by GO INSIDE AND GET U SOME GOOD MEXICAN FOOD!!!

Always friendly service and great food, this wonderful taqueria has quickly become my go-to for exceptional Mexican food. Taco Tuesday is always delicious, but tacos any day of the week are always going to warm your soul. You can not go wrong with their chile relleno, chips and queso and horchata. The offer a full selection of cold beer, and I love the mango and peach margaritas. A full selection of empanadas to delight anyone. I love the soups, from the pozole and menudo. I look forward to trying more of their terrific offerings. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious. I would highly recommend you bringing your friends and family here any day of the week. I will definitely be back for more soon.

Someone should be able to buy whatever item they want. If an adult wants a kids item they should be able to pay for it instead of being forced to pay more just to waste food
