As of now, my wife and I's go-to sushi spot. We've tried several other locations around the Dallas metroplex and weren't satisfied with the taste or the price. We ordered mostly 16 pieces of varying sashimi and 2 rolls. None of what we ate had even a slight hint of fishiness. That's rare in sushi restaurants here in Dallas. The prices are fair for the quality that we tasted. The atmosphere is very welcoming and laid back. Highly recommend trying here at least once. Can't comment on any other food that wasn't sushi. We'll definitely be back again. (likely multiple times)

This is the best sushi in town! Just the tagine alone says it all, "Take your tooshie to Mr. Sushi!"Seigi is the best waiter. We don't even have to order anymore, as he remembers what we want to order even better than we do! He is amazing! We love the salmon sashimi, the chicken fried rice, the tempura vegetables, the Mrs Sushi roll, the hot miso soup.... it's all so wonderful! Plus the cold Sake. Not to Mention the green tea ice cream with warm rum cake for dessert!Seigi makes our experience so fun and at home every time we visit!

Problem.... The bathroom had such an odor like sewer backup. My wife was mortified by this and it basically ruined our dinner. The food was ok.. The server was very nice but this completely took over the conversation. It should not be like this. It was sewer odor... Not a customer going to bathroom odor... I can't believe the management would "live" with this. A fairly good dinner was totally ruined.

We always enjoy eating at Mr. Sushi for dinner. Some of the sushi I like best are the Spicy Yellow Tail Rolls, the Spicy Tuna Rolls, the Smelt Egg, and the Blue Fin Tuna. We usually begin with eating an order of Edamame along with Chinese hot tea. If you order enough sushi, they serve you the food on the large wooden sushi boat. The environment is always welcoming and laid back. They do have an extensive stock of alcohol and several seating options. You can sit at the bar, the sushi bar or in two separate dining areas. I have included photos of our dinner this evening. This is a wonderful place to go if you are looking for fresh sushi and friendly staff.

Had the fried rice, Mr. Sushi roll and spicy tuna roll. Wasn’t very good, the rice had clumps of white rice, wasn’t mixed well and the meats were nonexistent, flavorless even tho I dumped 3 packets of soy sauce, the spicy tuna roll which I thought no one could ever mess up was bland, small and not very well put together, and the Mr. Sushi roll was, well… Bad. Sucks cause I was really looking for a new sushi spot but this is not it. Maybe eating in is different, but I doubt it.

I had a wonderful experience at Mr. Sushi. The staff is very helpful and the chef is awesome. Seiji helped me setup this experience and was extremely helpful. We opted for Omakase and Chef Troy did not disappoint. Our dinner started off with the standard ginger salad. Next up is a seasonal mushroom soup that is absolutely delicious and made with very fresh ingredients from Japan. After that our sushi part of the omakase began. We opted for the sushi to come all at once on one of their known sushi boats since we were not seated at the sushi bar. The combinations and ingredients are amazing. Very fresh and well balanced. Since it is Omakase, the experience is different everytime which is great as it is like a new eating experience. To cap off our meal, we opted for the rum cake with scoops of green tea and vanilla ice cream and a cup of green tea. It is tasty as well and a nice ending to our meal. I would recommend Mr. Sushi to anyone looking for a truely authentic/traditional style of food that will never disappoint!

This place has been great for decades with the same family running it. Mickey Mantle thought it was good enough for him in the 80s. Of all the sushi places in DFW…you will not find fresher better tasting sashimi. The atmosphere may not have changed over the decades…but that is awesome. Visit the place a couple times, get use to it. You will see the excellence.
