This place is nice on the inside But there’s two major things wrong with it:
1. the staff feels like they’re doing you a favor by giving you coffee. They always have an attitude and they’re kind of abrupt with you. It’s a service type of industry maybe try smiling?
2. The coffee is always tepid. It’s never hot. It’s not even toasty warm. It’s tepid. Maybe they had a customer get burned or something I don’t know, but tepid coffee is really a bad drink. I’ve come four different times over the past two years hoping it’ll get better, mostly because I was in the area. I will no longer return.

Atmosphere is just 👌
The coffee here leans heavily toward fruity and floral notes, and they’ve gone with an extremely light roast. While that works for some people, it really doesn’t pair well with cream or milk the flavors just get lost.
It feels like this place would shine more if they focused on specialty pour-overs and cold brews, where lighter roasts actually make sense. Either that, or they should add at least a medium-to-light roast option for people who prefer milk-based drinks.

Too good to be true! 3/10
Beautiful atmosphere with lots of space to study or work, unfortunately it’s super busy and quite noisy. I was so excited walking in seeing plants everywhere, a modern chic environment with beautiful furniture but was let down by everything else.
My cold brew coffee was watered down, acidic and not worth the value. If it wasn’t so expensive I would have just tossed my drink.
The cappuccino was basically a latte. So what they lack in coffee they try to make up for in a nice environment.

The coffee is pretty good. It's too bad this shop is a for profit business subleased on church property.

I’ve been thinking about visiting this place for so long and finally had the chance to do it. Native is co-owned by legendary coffee producer Diego Bermudez, the mind behind famous castillo beans that you get from various famous roasters around the world. You can find Diego’s beans here but also they are offering beans from other growers. Service friendly and the coffee is one of the best in DFW

Update: I value consistency, so they lost a customer today. Nice people but they changed the rules lately. I’ve come here for YEARS. I always get a matcha latte with seasonal flavors and they have accommodated each time. The last 2 times I’ve gone there, they told me they won’t add the seasonal flavor like peppermint to a matcha anymore. Even though I had the exact same drinks before without an issue, and loved it. They were some of my favorite drinks in Dallas. I’ve had a brutally rough week- so simplicity and a place valuing my loyalty matters to me right now. I left and went to another craft coffee shop - Triumph and Whiskey. With the prices of drinks I’d like to have what I love. The man at this place said I can get any seasonal flavors in a matcha as it’s “not hard to do” and we should have what we enjoy. Simple.
The seasonal drinks at this Nordic coffee shop are very unique and high quality, with authentic flavoring. Gracelyn was very kind and made me the new orange/sage matcha. Loved it.
Came back for the new Balkan this week.. again made my Gracelyn.. it was the perfect blend, just what I needed to feel happy yet relaxed.

Had a brief issue on a my first visit to Native, but the owner, Tracy, resolved it with such generosity and class that I’m more impressed now than if everything had gone perfectly. He completely turned the experience around.
It is rare to find business owners who care this deeply about their craft and their customers. The quality of the coffee speaks for itself, but the leadership is what makes this place special.
If you want exceptional coffee served by people who actually care about their customers, this is the spot. You’ve earned a customer for life. Shoutout to Tracy for setting the standard. Highly recommended.

I am so sad to say the quality of the coffee has gone down tremendously. Not sure if it’s the new baristas or a new syrup, but I’ve had to toss out my vanilla latte which they used to never get wrong. Please fix it Native this was my favorite spot.

Ordered a matcha with honey and a sencha.
The matcha…unfortunately just tastes like milk and the sencha was bitter. So sad I really wanted to like the place 😭

I live a bit further out, so I don’t come here all the time. But whenever I have, the drinks (especially the matcha) have been good. I actually buy their matcha powder regularly and have loved the subtle fragrance/sweetness and quality.
That said, my last two visits were kind of a letdown. There’s a newer face who seemed pretty inattentive, didn’t ask clarifying questions (hot vs iced, milk alternatives), and made assumptions instead.
The last time I ordered a matcha, it came out super milky and diluted - not creamy, just watered down with way too much vanilla. On my most recent visit, we ordered 2 separate seasonal lattes with oat milk and ended up getting regular milk instead.
I’ve had a lot of past good experiences here, so I’m hoping this is just a training/consistency issue that gets worked out. I do like this place and hope it gets back to how solid it usually is.

It’s hard to go anywhere else for coffee. Native always hits! If you like good, quality coffee.. this is the place. Their drip and seasonal lattes are my go-tos. Friendly & helpful baristas, comfortable seating. We always look forward to coming here when we’re in town.
