Visited for a friend's birthday. The best part was the live music. They were out of oxtails, the drinks were ok, and the food was underwhelming. Although our waitress was sweet, we had to wait long periods for her to return to the table or flag her down. The live music band was amazing!

The food was ok, but a bit more pricey than advertised. The biggest problem was the service. It took forever to get our food and drinks. The place wasn't even crowded and it still took almost 30 minutes just to get our drinks. The waitresses were dressed inappropriately and were giving slow service. Also, the restaurant automatically takes $20 gratuity for some non descriptive reason in addition to the tip you would give to the servers. I will not be back.

Had Alicia as a bartender this Sunday she is quick and attentive. The game was on and she continued to check on our group. I will be back cause of the service she provided.

I try to support black business, but it was pretty disappointing. The waiting for a server...and having to flag new one down during a shift change apparently. The lack of transparency with happy hour pricing, and some server's attitudes. When a manager was asked to be seen, it took 45 minutes. My cousin waited, the rest of us did not. My friends came down from Houston, and it was not a great first impression to say the least.

Other tidbits:

Expensive drinks that are not worth it unless you get the right bartender.

The greens were probably the best thing on the menu.

Lack of transparency with gratuity.

I will say, although the menu was limited...the food itself was yummy.

Parking: You do get validated parking at the garage next door!!!

Bartender refused to make a woman a new drink because a man bought it for her and she didn’t. See the bartender make it. There was clearly something red in the drink and the bartender didn’t care at all. Ladies this bar may not be a safe space for you.

The audacity of one of your bartenders, refusing to make a drink after a woman stated that there was clearly something floating in their drink, and that a person they did not know had bought the drink for them. She was fearful of being drugged, and your bartender refused to make a new one. Sooooo are we just out here potentially putting women at risk ??? She’s going viral. And good for her !! Keeping other women safe. I hope other women who visit this establishment stay on alert .

I was highly disappointed with my visit to Nine DFW.

First impression.. The place reminds me more of a banquet hall than an actual restaurant. The space is empty, the ambiance is lacking, and there's no feeling of a welcoming environment, at all.

Dining experience.. Depending on which side you're seated, one would feel closed off from the rest of the establishment. The table chairs are oddly shaped and I almost fell over when trying to reposition myself at the table.

I ended up moving to the bar, instead, and regretted this decision as the barstools weren't tall enough to sit leveled with the actual bar.

Service was very slow and we waited several minutes to be offered water or a menu, despite there being three people behind the bar. One of the gentleman was far too preoccupied with his watch.

Food.. I'll just say that everything looked better than it actually tasted. My guy ordered chicken and waffles and only enjoyed the waffle (which was very soft, sweet, and tasty for sure). I had the lambchops and subbed the grits with greens and macaroni & cheese. The lampchops were overcooked, and the sauce on them was cold. The macaroni was NOT good at all and tasted burnt. I'm not sure if the milk to make it was scorched or if the method of preparation contributed to the taste. (This would be my guess as one of my lambchops also had a chemical taste).

The macaroni also lacked cheesiness, and I ended up advising the gentleman on his watch of the issue. He took the plate away but no one followed up with me regarding the matter. Once the other bartender returned, I asked him if he was made aware of the issue (he was not, but did advise he'd remove it from my ticket.

The greens were good! No complaints there.

Overall, I absolutely was not impressed with my dining experience and am reluctant to return for food.

I did enjoy the DJ and you can (almost) never go wrong with a cocktail. I may possibly return for these two reasons, but there are many other options in the DFW area, so it isn't imperative that I do.

The food was really good. We came here about a week ago. The service was terrible it took forever for them to take our order, we only received our water 5 minutes before our meal came so that means we was sitting there 30 minutes without anything to drink the waitress was not attentive we had to flag her down when ever we needed anything, they take a gratuity out the bill but the waitress did a terrible job I feel like she didn't deserve a tip I will not be back

On a recent Saturday brunch visit, I was greeted by a scene that felt more suited for a nightclub than a midday dining experience. Entering a semi-empty restaurant, the first assault on the senses was the cacophonous music emanating from a live band. Our immediate instinct was to retreat, but we were escorted to a table near the sound source. Thankfully, after voicing our concerns, the waitress kindly requested a reduction in volume. This was a welcome gesture, but it served only to highlight the overall atmosphere that seemed to prioritize noise over nuance.

Once settled at a table that wobbled precariously—unfortunately a plastic foldable number reminiscent of garage sales—I began to assess the offerings. The menu was disappointingly limited, and to our dismay, several brunch staples were unavailable, most notably champagne. For a brunch experience, one expects to sip mimosas; a lack of this essential libation left us puzzled. On the brighter side, my companions found satisfaction in their meals, which, though reasonably priced, lacked variety.

The restrooms offered another puzzling aspect of the experience. Designed as community-style facilities, they were in dire need of better locks that indicate occupancy from the outside. The unsettling sensation of having someone tugging at the door, only to discover the situation could be quite awkward, detracted from an otherwise enjoyable outing. A straightforward fix in the locking mechanism could alleviate this discomfort entirely.

Service was, to their credit, polite and friendly. However, the choice of staff attire left me wondering about the establishment's identity. Are we dining in a restaurant or a club? This ambiguity does little to foster a welcoming environment for all patrons. Additionally, the $7 parking fee—without validation—was a disappointing note in an already disjointed experience.

While I appreciated the quality of the food and the demeanor of the staff, the overarching issues overshadowed these positives. The loud music transformed what should have been a relaxed brunch into a struggle to converse, disrupting the fellowship that brunch inherently invites. This raises an important question: who is the intended audience? If the goal is to attract a nightclub crowd, a more appropriate approach would be to reserve such an atmosphere for evening hours or to advertise it clearly.

Reflecting on my visit, I find myself hesitant to return. Despite the enjoyable meal and pleasant staff, the myriad concerns—including the music's volume—detracted significantly from the overall experience. There is much potential here, but it seems clear that a recalibration of priorities is needed to align with the expectations of a brunch audience. If I had known what awaited me, I would have likely chosen to spend my time and money elsewhere.

Parking: Opposite side of the building.

I’m quite disappointed, we went to grab drinks and a hookah and waited over an hour for someone to serve us after asking SEVERAL times for service. Music was nice but after being passed many times and no one even acknowledging us, I won’t be returning or recommending this establishment to anyone. I really wish we did better business as people.
