First of all I understand that fried chicken is ought to be greasy and oily but there is a limit.This is way too greasy and oily chicken. Fries were less greasy than the chicken itself. Batter was coming off the chicken. Batter lacked flavor and the only flavor was of hot oil. Bread was drenched in the oil by the time I finished. Did not even feel like eating all of it since I lost my apetitie looking at all the grease.Had high expectations based on all the reviews.

I've been to palmers numerous times and never get to write a review because i always immediately dig in, but here we are now! Palmers has many hot chicken options, many heat levels and many soul food options. I've never been disappointed during any visit to palmers. The customer service is always top tier, they go out of their way to serve you whether you're dining in or to go! I always get the novice level which is spicy in my opinion! I'm from Louisiana and the novice big dark had my nose running, however the novice tenders are mild tasting! Palmers is very family friendly, they have covered outdoor seating with game like; bean bag toss and giant connect 4! Entrees i recommend are; chicken tacos, chicken and waffles, catfish(authentic!) and BIG DARK (enough to feed 2 people, only $14).

Great location, service was friendly and helpful. Ordered the chicken caesar wrap and I would've liked more spice on my chicken or at least just more seasoning on my chicken to help with the flavor but the quality of the wrap itself was good.

I'm in Dallas from NYC. Saw the food truck in Klyde Warren Park, and tried the Catfish here. EXCEllent!!!! Tasty, nicely battered. If I worked near this truck I would a regular. Jon was a super duper person too!!!! The outdoor dining was beautiful and sunny. Made my vacation memorable!!!!

My boyfriend and I were craving hot chicken and decided to try out Palmer's. The spot had a nice bar area, which I've never seen before at a hot chicken restaurant. The chicken was quite juicy but not as spicy as I expected. If you're looking for more of mild chicken then this would be the perfect spot to try.

Went here for the 2nd time and had a night and day experience. First time was great but ordered to go and the chicken was burnt and so bitter it was almost impossible to eat. We ordered a salad because of the Wednesday deal and we didn’t get the dressing we ordered and the chicken was flavorless and dry. The fries were soggy which to be fair could have been because we didn’t eat them until we got home but the Brussels sprouts were super oily. The bread we got with the chicken was covered it whatever burnt, bitter sauce was on the chicken which made it in- edible. For reference we got the Nashville sauce which having got it before was not on the chicken. The one positive thing was the chicken thighs were juicy. I don’t know what was served to us or if the chef didn’t check the order but very disappointing.

We liked everything about Palmer's! The ambiance seemed perfect for the cuisine. It is counter service, but they bring your order to your table and clean up afterwards. The service was friendly and efficient. The food delicious! The Hump Day salad with fried chicken breast was so good and a large portion - highly recommended. I also recommend the Dark (leg and thigh quarter), the collard greens and mac & cheese - all 3 were excellent.
