this is a disappointment. I have come here multiple times and this is my first time ever having food that it’s not cooked to perfection. I have the red snapper and grilled shrimp and it is dry and overcooked. Disappointed!!!!!!!

I’m extremely disappointed in Pappadeaux’s handling of a recent situation involving one of their employees. Instead of standing by their staff member after that employee spoke up about experiencing homophobia from a patron, the company chose to terminate the employee.
Hospitality should include protecting your team from discrimination. When businesses fail to support employees who speak out against homophobic behavior, it sends a troubling message about whose comfort matters more.
Creating an inclusive environment isn’t just about marketing — it’s about how leadership responds when bias actually shows up. In this case, the response appears to prioritize avoiding controversy over protecting staff from mistreatment.
Until Pappadeaux demonstrates a clear commitment to standing against discrimination and supporting its employees, I can’t in good conscience recommend supporting this business.

Took my wife here for our Anniversary . She wanted seafood so I said let's go . Worst mistake ever . Food wasn't good at all ... from the fish being dry to the shrimp dinner being overly salted 🧂. What a mess . The waiter said he understood and apologized. But im still left feeling terrible. I don't know what what happened but this wasn't right at all.

Pappadeaux simply is not the value it used to be several years ago. Several years ago it was a value for lunch. In 2021 Catfish & Shrimp Etouffee and a salad was $25.20. Today in January 2026, the same meal is $34.90 (actually more because the Caesar salad is $1 more than the house salad). That is a 38% increase! Insane. The portion sizes and quality also seem to have gone downhill. I can no longer justify paying that much for a casual lunch, which is a shame because the food itself is really good.

Went to a birthday dinner and we had a good time. I will say first if the drinks are almost $20 the bartender need to put liquor in the drinks because the margarita was weak for $16.95. for an appetizer I had the sauteed crab claws and dirty rice, It was really good. My main course I had chicken tenders and fries because I was kind of full from the bread and the crab claws and the rice. Nice atmosphere. Can't go wrong really at pappadeaux's been going here for years

I hadn't been to a papadeaux's since I lived in Houston way back in 2008. We were in Dallas and close to the restaurant and thought, why not lets go. Bad decision. I will say our server was very nice and provided great service. Everything else, wasn't great. The restaurant itself looked run down and was disheveled and dirty. Dirty tables and dishes were waiting to be cleared. I ordered lobster, it was wasn't cooked correctly and I was only able to eat a little of it. They did comp the lobster. My husband had steak with crab. It wasnt a great cut of meat, you could tell. Overall, I think it will be another 20 years before I even think about going back to Pappadeaux's. Considering the prices, I would expect a more elevated level of service and food.

The food is not adding up to its standards anymore.. the rice is not authentic( instant and dry).. I ordered dirty rice and it was dry.. my sister pasta was dry.. I need them to get better cooks if they’re charging for authenticity!
