We enjoyed the Beef Wellington and the Bakewell Tart for New Year's Eve dinner. It was the best. It was so easy to heat and serve and my guests were very impressed. This is my go-to for British baked goods.

hmmm first order with this company to be truthful i am pretty disappointed with customer service to us online. placed an order been pending 3 days reached out to them NOTHING!!!! i am gonna give one more day then call the credit card company as a scam....

I took a drive to the farmer’s market to purchase scones for a small get together and was super disappointed by the quality. I’m not sure if it was an off batch or if this is what the baker believes that TX residents like, but these were not scones. They had the taste and consistency of bisquick biscuits and were rather dry and salty. I couldn’t serve them to my guests so unfortunately these went to waste.

When I tried ordering online the only option I was given was doordash and it said I was too far away even though I was in front of the Tucker address. Your best bet may be to go to their website directly and navigate from there or call them until their operations get in better order.

We have been ordering from Proper Baking Company since pretty close to their inception and absolutely love everything we get from there, from our staples (different meat pies, sausage rolls, pasties, Bakewell tart, melting moments) to the different seasonal and specialty things that are offered (fish and chips, Beef Wellington, mince pies). We love the convenience of being able to pick up directly from the kitchen, and also enjoy the occasional pop-ups in various locations.
Coming from a family of cooks in the UK, I can honestly say that the produce from The Proper Baking Company is second to none! Homemade, from scratch pastries, cakes and anything that you could want in English baking fare....I love the sausage rolls and pork pies......and the Cornish pasties and Steak and Ale pie are out of this world. Incredible service. If you are an English foodie - This is the place!!!!!
