Rex’s Seafood and Market on Northwest Highway has become one of our favorite places — we dine there at least twice a month and always have a great experience. The seafood is consistently fresh and delicious, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. It’s hard to find this level of quality and consistency. Highly recommend for anyone who loves excellent seafood and great customer service! We had steamer bowl, soft shell crab, and gumbo.

This place has changed a lot from being at Farmers Market and then the new location. The place has gotten a little stuck-up. The prices have increased which is understandable due to current environments. However walking in at 4pm when half the tables are empty to be asked if we have a reservation was a little weird. We then were told if we ate quickly we could have a table..
I will say they have the best oysters in DFW.

Fresh seafood in Fort Worth? Yes, please. Rex’s consistently delivers quality, flavor, and a laid-back but polished atmosphere. Great for a casual dinner that still feels special.

The food and service is amazing here. I had the fish and chips, fish fried to perfection. There's at least 5 other items on the menu I want to go back to try!

I have been going to Rex's Seafood and Market for YEARS! Their seafood and sides are always so fresh and never disappoint. You can tell that they pride themselves on letting the freshness of their ingredients shine through. Some of their stand out items for me are the Chilean sea bass, lobster roll (both Connecticut and Maine style), spinach, grits, and their fish tacos (I typically opt for the catch of the day).
What I can confidently say is that you won't go wrong with anything you order on the menu. 10/10

We stopped in a spur of the moment decision on a Friday night. They did not have any tables available but there were seats at the bar. The service was fast and efficient. We started off with a jumbo crab cake which was a special of the day. The crab cake was perfectly prepared with a tangy mustard sauce. For our main entrees, the wife had the fish and chips and I had another special of pistachio encrusted turbot. The wife's fish and chips were incredibly good and I thoroughly enjoyed the turbot. My sides of red beans and rice and jalapeno poppers were all delicious. For dessert, we ordered the bread pudding and it was delectable. My wife said her fish and chips were the best since our favorite fish and chips we had in Newport Beach in California. We would definitely go back when we are in the area!

Rex’s Seafood is a charming little gem, one of those places your Meemaw and PawPaw probably meant to tell you about but never quite did. Since I don’t gate keep, here’s my most recent experience.
My wife has taken me here a couple of times for early-afternoon dates, and it has quickly become one of those feel-good, low-key spots. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, and the food is mostly just as comforting.
The lobster bisque was absolutely divine. I ordered the cup and immediately regretted not getting the full bowl. We started with the fried oysters, which had beautifully seasoned breading and a great crunch. The oyster texture itself was a bit softer than I prefer, but my wife loved them, so I’ll chalk that up to personal preference.
For my entrée, I went with the halibut in basil tomato white cream sauce with broccolini and sweet corn. Unfortunately, the dish arrived lukewarm and could have used more seasoning. The broccolini was a bit overcooked, though the sweet corn was a bright spot that I really enjoyed.
Now, my wife’s fettuccine Alfredo with blackened shrimp was outstanding. I took one bite and genuinely had to fight the urge to swap plates. It was rich, flavorful, and easily the star of the table.
We wrapped things up with ice cream. I had the pecan praline, while she went with cookies and cream. Not too shabby if I do say so myself.
Despite a couple misses, we will definitely be back. Rex’s Seafood has earned its place as one of our favorite afternoon date spots. Trust and believe I’ll be ordering a bowl of the bisque here on out.

Food is incredible, and Nikki at the bar is super friendly and makes you feel welcome.
Excellent preparation and service. All seafood tasted so fresh. We arrived without reservations and had to wait 45min but it was worth it. We ordered the CT lobster roll, red fish, and blackened shrimp alfredo. All were absolutely excellent. For dessert, we had key lime pie, creme brulee, and cappuccino pie. Will definitely visit again to explore more of the menu.
