This is absolutely the BEST restaurant in Dallas, TX. Hands down, no debate. From the top tier service/hospitality shown as soon as you walk through the door to the delicious, creative cocktails, and finally to the AMAZING cuisine. You won’t find higher quality anywhere else. It’s an incredible dining experience anyone will love!

The vegan chile relleno was fantastic when I visited for lunch in 2022. This time for dinner, lamb was good but pork lollipops tasted stale and I forced myself to swallow them down. Sauerkraut chocolate cake was unique and worth it - blend of mildly sweet and savory. Overall I’d probably give 4 stars for food but docking an additional star since the cost was too high relative to quality of food I experienced in my recent meal.

I recently hosted a corporate private event here and bought out the restaurant for the night. Rye and the entire team was impeccable. Amanda was the manager working with us, and she truly went above and beyond to make our event amazing. The food, the service, the bartenders - everything was absolutely TOP TOP notch. I'm looking forward to coming back!

While their food is mostly seafood and in small serving sizes, their drinks and staff are absolutely amazing! I complimented a bartender on the drink he made for me, and he made it stronger when I asked for a second, haha! The staff were so friendly, the place was clean, and overal it was just a good experience.

Let me tell you what.. we have been to so many restaurants for birthdays and occasions. Rye went above and beyond.
1. The chefs menu for this Fall season will knock your socks off. Our favorite was the mushroom tart with blue cheese ice cream. No need to clutch your pearls, because you will be too busy doing what you can to not devour this dish in a flash.
2. The service was A1. Wendy did a phenomenal job explaining the dishes and we learned so much history of grains and how they are artfully and deliciously woven into each bite.
3. We felt at home and welcomed beyond anything we have experienced before. Not only great culinary experience and service, but with it being a birthday, we got a card, the opportunity to meet the chefs, and some great gifts from the team.
4.The ambiance and setting were cozy and suave. Giving speakeasy with class and some hidden library vibes.
I cannot recommend a better setting to celebrate or to just have an unforgettable experience.
Thank you Wendy, chefs, and Rye team for providing this great experience to us. ♥️ see you all again!!

The place was amazing and the atmosphere as well, very dark academia aesthetic, the food was really unexpected but really good, and drinks were just as good. Wendy also gave us the best service and we even got to meet the chefs which is rare in many restaurants. I would definitely come back!

Where to begin... I picked this place for a dinner date night with my wife after seeing a 4.5 star review on Google and it seemed at quick glance the prices were reasonable. This was our stop before a concert at the Meyerson which we've done many times over the past 25+ years. We were both so disappointed with a restaurant experience we've never had before.
First the good: Not much really. Atmosphere was nice. Presentation was very nice. Pretty much stops there.
The not so good to just bad: Drinks. I ordered one drink that sounded interesting. Neither of us liked it. So bad, I sent it back and tried something else. I think that's the first time I've done that in my life. If I've sent a drink back before, I can't even remember when it was. Second drink was just ok at best. Food. Just not good. We ordered 3 items. Two are in one of my pictures. Those were just ok at best. The 3rd one was so bad we couldn't even eat it and there wasn't much to each. There was a lot of pickled stuff in it and it was sooo overpowering and so strong we couldn't taste anything else. My wife LOVES pickles stuff and even she was cringing and stopped after a couple bites. Both of us are quite food adventurous, not very picky, and will try just about anything. We tried this and it was just not good. We ended up stopping for some fast food after our concert. Service. Just ok. Not bad, just nothing special especially considering the place it is and also finally... Price. Not sure how I was so deceived. Very pricey. Drinks were generally all $18 and up which is more than most places. One of those small items was $14 and the other was $20. Third item was $22 I believe. That's way to much for what it is. If it was something that was super delicious and stood out, I still would think a bit over priced but since it was barely good to not good at all, way too much.
In all our years of date nights and picking different restaurants around the metroplex to try new things, this is the most disappointed we've ever been. Maybe this is just not our thing. I just don't understand where the 4.5 star rating is coming from. I don't like giving anything a 1 star review, but as I kept thinking about it, I can't give it any higher overall as we were so disappointed. My recommendation is take your money and go elsewhere. There's plenty of restaurants out there to choose from.

Fantastic food and ambiance, questionable portion size. We ordered a la carte instead of the tasting menu. Of the drinks we ordered (fernet-ture, fire island, wake and bake), I enjoyed the fire island the most and fernet-ture to be mediocre. Icelandic hot dog and I'll shoyu were both delightful and pleasant. We were told that the pork belly lollipop, don't be shellfish, and the lamb belly were sharable, but I highly disagree. We did share the three (all delicious, with the ocean trout being the highlight) but were mostly left not fully sated as the portion is barely for one person (closer to half-portion size, considering we live in Texas). We were not sated until dessert, where the cheesecake and Kraut cake can definitely be shared across three to four people for each cake. The ganache and the meringue on the Kraut cake are addicting and a must-try. This place would be an absolute 5-star review if the portions of the a la carte were larger. I do want to try the tasting menu one day, but the price tag is quite too high, even for a high-end restaurant that hasn't achieved a michelin star yet. I will visit again, although only for special occasions rather than frequent.

Its hard to see how this could have been any better. From the moment we arrived (early for our reservation) until we were ushered next door to The Apothecary everything was spot on. Terrific cocktails at the bar, and then really creative food and well priced wine. Thank goodness for Lyft!

Rye has some complex dishes that are certainly unique. Not all hit the mark, but most are solid. Highly recommend the tacos and trout belly as the standout items. Nice atmosphere and service is quite good.

Best bartender ever! Unfortunately I don’t remember her name. Last night she was so sweet and informative about the drinks. Loved the vibe and experience from this location. It was one of the best stops from my ballad weekend!

One of the worst experiences and most awful foods I ever had. Fries and pork belly over salted, stake was uncooked and over peppered. The interior design was a mixture of chaos. Absolutely awful experience. I would give it zero star if I could.

From the moment we walked through the door, we were treated like VIPs. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and buzzing with positive energy. Amanda, the manager, is a true gem — she went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our evening was perfect. She clearly cares deeply about her guests and runs the place like a well-oiled machine, but with genuine heart and warmth.
Our servers, Trinity and Wendy, were nothing short of phenomenal. They struck that perfect balance of being attentive without hovering, and their friendly personalities made the entire dining experience feel personal and relaxed. It’s rare to find staff who work so seamlessly as a team, but these two made it look effortless.
Now, the cocktails… WOW. Each drink was beautifully crafted, balanced to perfection, and had that “just one more sip” magic. You can tell there’s real artistry and skill behind the bar.
As for the food — every single dish was a masterpiece. Fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and gorgeous presentation. From appetizers to dessert, it was an unforgettable culinary journey.
This restaurant isn’t just a place to eat — it’s an experience. With Amanda’s exceptional leadership, Trinity and Wendy’s first-class service, incredible cocktails, and unforgettable food, I can confidently say this is my new favorite spot.
If I could give more than five stars, I would. 🌟

Wow wow wow! We’ve been coming to Rye for almost four years now and they just keep getting better and better! They also must’ve recently renovated inside, it looks amazing! Drinks were also absolutely phenomenal. My husband loved them!
We had Trinity as our waitress and not only was she a phenomenal foodie with her recommendations, but an absolute sweetheart! 10/10 recommend!
