Brought a large group around 1pm in March. We liked this place previously because the food was great, the prices were fair and the vibe there worked for what we needed. Show up and wait 10 minutes for them to finish a few mobile orders. The staff was fine but we’re constantly trying to upsell us on the sides. Food (esp sides) were cold and we all felt out of place. Sucks out three year tradition will come to an end but there just is better food available close to downtown.

Delicious Bbq, with red rings on the tasty, juicy brisket and ribs. Friendly staff with great explanation of the food. Loved it !

I ordered their signature brisket plate, and it was absolutely delicious - the meat was perfectly tender and flavorful, with a beautiful smoky flavor. 10/10

I have driven by Sammy’s for years and never took the time to stop in. My son is now living in the apartments across the street and we finally stopped in for lunch today. It was amazing BBQ, we had bit of everything. All meats and sides were great.

We came here for an event and it was a nice place. The patio was large and plenty of heaters to keep it warm. The brisket and turkey were good, though it was just a bit dry for my liking. I enjoyed the fried okra.

My partner and I spent just $20 after tax for 2 meat plates that left us absolutely stuffed – that's an incredible value at just $10 per person! We did 2 meat plate- for the brisket and pulled pork, accompanied by sides of zucchini casserole and beans, plus 2 slices of bread. The self-service station offered a variety of pickles and warm BBQ sauce, adding a delightful touch. The staff were exceptionally generous, gifting us with fried okra. The value for money here is simply unbeatable.

As always great brisket and sides. Can't go wrong with this Dallas BBQ spot for a quick business lunch or to meet up with a group.

this was my first time to eat here at the recommendation of my husband who eats there thrice a week. He was not lyin’, the brisket is insanely good, juicy and flavorful. Don’t even get me started on the potato casserole and fried okra. A party in my mouth . As the terminator would say, I’ll be back!

You gotta love a place that puts the Gonzales Flag on its takeaway cups. But Sammy's also has a great room (albeit with odd temperature zones), good eats and friendly workers who checked on us repeatedly while we lingered for hours. Good prices, I suppose (cheaper than where I'm from, if not inexpensive). The brisket and jalapeño sausage were quite good, the pork loin was fine and the sauce was not really that exciting (sweeter and less piquant than I prefer). The sides I had (mac and cheese and potato casserole) looked a lot better than they actually were. Portions were generous for the price. Certainly not the ridiculous crowds one sees at some places on a Saturday. I'd certainly return and I'd bring others (I could go for more of that brisket right now, the next morning). Looking forward to doing so on my next trip to the neighborhood, in fact.

Don’t miss Sammy’s if you’re in Dallas. A proper BBQ outfit in the middle of towers was quite unexpected. The food was fantastic—both meats and sides. The prices were inexpensive by comparison to any good BBQ restaurant, much less one in the middle of the city. More importantly, the service; I arrived 10 minutes before closing (they still had all meats available and only mac and cheese was finished for sides) and they insisted I stay to eat. I didn’t eat quickly as I understood another couple behind me was also finishing up, however when I stood to depart it was readily apparent they were not customers and it was only me keeping employees from going home. Yet not once was I hurried. And when I apologized they were as gracious as ever. Overall, a fantastic experience I’m sure they’ll replicate for you if you choose to visit—and I highly recommend you do.

We attended a party on the back patio and although they had heaters and plastic sheathing it was very cold. The food was tasty and the portions were very sufficient. Great brisket, ribs and jalapeño sausage.Parking: They had several free parking lot areas adjacent to the building.
